I was not expecting Bad Blood to be the highest charting song that is on the OG tracklist. I thought Style would take it.

This was our chance to make All You Had To Do Was Stay #1 not that basic ass vault track girlies :gaycat6:

makes sense since there's the kendrick version too.

it helped forever and always & state of grace too.

Wait!

If ****! goes #1, she would replace herself at #1, next week. Then if Cruel Summer rebounds to #1, that would be an iconic back to back to back self replacement at #1.

CS > ****! > CS

Has anyone done this before?

yes, that one group that made billboard remove webstore sales

i don't know what drop they expect, but cs will be on top

Kinda shocked there seems to be no video :noparty: I hope Slvt gets it!

PLZ say her masterful team who does things w/ precision historically does 'what' needs to be done to ensure Slvt gets that 1 quick week at #1 (& CS somehow drops just enough at the right time)! lol

Another quick lil #1.

This won't have legs like AH or CS.

A year ago You wrote around 100 messages about anti Hero being that too so Who knows.

Her team is pulling Cruel Summer from the radio, so...

It’s gonna be Cruel Summer or Doja. 1989 TV is most likely gonna drop hard throughout the week

****! debuted with 5 million us streams and they only have it at 218 points. the drops are already factored in.

They already have a hard drop ala Speak Now TV in mind for the prediction.

Which is fair tbh.

Funny thing is that song was clearly written for  different album (Midnights probably ), not 1989  :priceless: She's so good at lying

It's almost as if Midnights and 1989 had the same writers!

Yup just noticed CS 'abruptly' tanking on radio lol At least in the last daily update. They know what they're doing. All a matter of perfect calculation though. Radio can be 'controlled' to a degree but not what people stream or download. Hopefully S**t gets just enough airplay out of the gate to counter likely front loaded streaming and sales etc...

I know people complain “these songs aren’t hits! They debut high then free fall a week or two later!” because of Taylor, Drake, and very few other artists who can chart singles in the upper echelon of the Hot 100 based on streaming consumption, something that wasn’t available for previous generations of musicians

But I counter that by saying this isn’t anything new to Taylor. Even in the digital era she was sending promo singles and digital releases to the Top 10/20/40 just from digital sales alone, way back in the 2010-2014 era. She’s got a plethora of album tracks that charted for a week or two because her fanbase was ALWAYS strong enough to do what other fanbases can’t: chart songs that aren’t singles. This is just the continuation of that. :clap3:

This. People forgot that many of Taylor's promo singles charted within the top 40:

Fearless (2008) era:

#10 - Change

#11 - You're Not Sorry

#9 - Fearless (song) - later released as  Fearless' final single

#12 - You Belong With Me - later released as Fearless' third single, repeaked at #2

#10 - Jump Then Fall

#19 - Untouchable

#30 - Come In With the Rain

#26 - SuperStar

#23 - The Other Side of the Door

Speak Now (2010) era:
#8 - Speak Now (song)

#6 - Back to December - later released as Speak Now's second single

#11 - Mean - later released as Speak Now's third single

#10 - If This Was a Movie

#13 - Ours - later released as Speak Now's final single

#26 - Superman

Red (2012) era:

#7 - Begin Again - later released as Red's second single

#6 - Red (song) - later released as Red's fifth single

#3 - I Knew You Were Trouble - later released as Red's third single, repeaked at #2

#13 - State of Grace

1989 (2014) era:

#18 - Out of The Woods - later released as 1989's sixth single

#48 - Welcome to New York

Spotify was gaining traction around 2014, so it is evident how her pulling her music off Spotify impacted 1989 promo singles - OOTW would have been a top 5 hit and WTNY a top 20 hit with Spotify.

i mean, going down 166 spins when the vault tracks got 1092 spins is reasonable. there's only so much room on playlists.

there was still more taylor being played overall.

The issue with OOTW and WTNY was that the songs came as instant grats from the album pre-orders, so any download from people that preordered the album did not count as sales. Red and Speak Now didn't have preorders on iTunes so the songs didn't get any handicap until the albums came out (see Mean going 11-OUT).

Oh yeah that too! I remember they just put that rule that year too (maybe around 1989 prerelease promo) :skull:
