theweekend Posted November 6, 2023 Posted November 6, 2023 well, that's the best rap hip hop song this year tied to paint the town red. she's put her soul on it and WE NEED RAPPERS like her. I truly hope this becomes a hit for her. 9
Bhabylon Posted November 6, 2023 Posted November 6, 2023 Can't watch the video because I have a snake phobia but this is great aside from that depressed ***** line 2
SchmoodRing Posted November 6, 2023 Posted November 6, 2023 so is this the start of a new era for her? is she free from that terrible album deal. and god for her on putting out a song like this. the topic lyrics is refreshing for rap especially female rap
trainsskyscrapers Posted November 6, 2023 Posted November 6, 2023 Meg sampled the late, GREAT jazz icon Chick Corea in this record? This has made its way to music nerd Twitter.

She's free now and staying indie for a little bit while labels send their best offers. She may also never go back and could just retain Roc Nation for management. We'll see.

Talking about it's not top 40 on Spotify cause it went #45. Always moving the goalpost. Also, mute about Youtube, AM, and iTunes. This is their game. Hope Meg ramps up the promo and somehow gets a radio deal and multiple versions by midweek. If only other Princesses and sons could do what Megan does as someone who was blackballed over a man and his flop music that couldn't outsell her either. i. don't think that's her goal with this record tho 1
Cotton Posted November 6, 2023 Posted November 6, 2023 I hope she’s able to get some radio play somehow but that’s probably asking for too much with an independent release.
popstyle Posted November 6, 2023 Posted November 6, 2023 is it just me or is the visual out of sync with her rapping?
Airlie Posted November 7, 2023 Posted November 7, 2023 This is a million times more stable than I thought it would be omg. I only listened to it once since the arrival. If the singular “***** depressed” line was removed it would be already more replayable 2
Cotton Posted November 7, 2023 Posted November 7, 2023 (edited) It's serving so much stability without any promo or playlisting really makes you wonder how successful it could be if it was fully pushed. I hope Megan has some promo in store for this but I doubt it. Edited November 7, 2023 by Cotton
