how tf toxic is not diamond? :o

It was released on 2004, by that time physical sales were dead, digital sales were just starting so thats why it didnt accumulate units back then. Once digital sales were string, people bought it years after release, and ofc most of its units are from streaming.

I’m happy for the queen but at the same time those look like the numbers BEFORE they were certified :biblio:

Am i supposed to believe that Radar, Everytime, Lucky etc. are just 1p ??

I actually think those are GREAT numbers especially considering how they didn't chart as well as her other songs.

In the zone's numbers though...not buying that. I also think lots of songs from the ITZ album are eligible for certification...Breathe on me, Outrageous etc.

I've also just noticed her first albums aren't there? I wonder if it's a little difficult for them to track since the the transfer from JIVE's database to Sony's  i think that's what took them so long to update to beging with.

Exactly my thought :michael: The song was a #1 hit regardless. Yet another theory downplaying  Britney's accomplishments DEBUNKED. It's literally platinum.

Her numbers are still as solid and strong. Not to mention this is minus 3 albums of hers.

ITZ sold 3M pure copies before streaming existed. It is 4x platinum eligible. Not sure why they only went for 3x platinum, though.

Because it’s a song from 2003 with no physical release, but it makes about 800K+ in US every year it’ll be diamond in about 3 years.

About In The Zone

January 2022: 3,853,000 SPS
+ 6xP certification fpr Toxic = 600k

= 4.4 million.

Under-certified at 3xP.

ITZ has been eligible for 3xP since January 2007 when Billboard reported 2,952,000 in album sales.

Amazing Update overall :clap3:

I thought Toxic is at 7-8x Plat because of its amazing streaming stats, it didnt sell that much on digital or what?.

The audit was started in between June 2nd, 2023 (3 was not yet Platinum eligible at this time and confirmed at 2.9M but very close to 3M) and July 9th, 2023 (Toxic hit 7M units this day). RIAA audits are not automatic - they are initiated months in advance and then the results are announced in a press release at a pre-selected date.

Curious, what is In the Zone's approx US total now?

It is above 3.9M SPS. So with shipments and club sales, it should be past 4x Platinum. It’s odd that it’s at 3x Platinum, though I’m wondering if they’re holding back on it for an anniversary announcement or something.

Well good news for her stans. Britney hasn’t  had a multi-platinum in 15 years then (since Circus)

Her total certified units in the US stand at 96,5M now.

But that’s still lower than Gaga’s 107M units.

Femme Fatale is eligible for 2x Platinum.

And of course Britney will have lower single certifications than an artist from 2008. That would be like me pointing out that Billie Eilish (debuted 2018) next year will be eligible for more certifications than Lady Gaga. Artists who debut later/peak closer to the streaming era have the highest certifications.

My Only Wish is only Gold. So low for a Christmas hit song. :dies:

Britney’s stats are so overrated.

Isn’t it the oldest album track to ever be certified Gold? And it’ll be Platinum eligible in less than a month (it’s already over 940k units).

Her stans had convinced us she had many diamond singles and dragging everyone left and right :lmao:

These are respectable numbers tho

We were bragging about Diamond albums, which are equivalent to 10 Diamond singles each :fan: Nice try, sis.
