Maybe the dad doesn't want to live inside a gay guy's body for the rest of his life, or maybe the son's boyfriend doesn't want to live inside a much older dude's body because he would die sooner, and he begs the father to do it idk

I would assume most fathers would not want to mentally deal with slamming their child so would be pushing for bf in dad body as it’s more like a “Shell” as opposed to a full person but I’ve already put to much thought into this scenario
