This is amazing truly. Such an evolution of the amazing album that was To Hell With It, but she sounds so much focused and straight for the kill here.

I came to this thread to comment on Feel Complete too. Bop but it makes me feel some kind of way at the same time  it has such a beautiful melody. I think it might be my fave

It's weird because even though the songs are longer than To Hell With It the length somehow bugs me more? Like, before the tracks were so short that I didn't have a chance to get attached, but now most of these are so close to regular length it's almost frustrating. Like why didn't she just go all the way

 

Anyway I'm mostly just splitting hairs because every song is a bop. Another Life, Bury Me, Feel Complete, Blue and Mosquito are my favorites

It's weird but I kinda agree with you, I feel the same way too with some songs. It's mainly because of the structure of some songs tho, because for example I think Mosquito sounds pure perfection the way it is. But Ophelia, just to name one track, needed an extra minute for sure despite being already stellar.

I think p4k being so lukewarm about this, and her music in general, just highlights how they really aren't tastemakers anymore. They would have eaten up an album like this 10 years ago.

 

Anyway, this is a great debut from her and def one of the best pop albums to come out this year. True Romance and Feel Complete are highlights.

The only two songs I don't think will grow on me are Ophelia and Mosquito.
