Damn Metamorphosis was 3x platinum in 3 months? Was she outselling In the Zone? :chick2:

With Love Gold? It feels like it did more than that. Where's the epic Come Clean's certification?

I just noticed that too. I can't believe it sold that much so quick. I think it was certified based on shipments.

Anyway, well done Hils x

With Love needs a recount, it should be at least 5 million

Well deserved! :clap3: it would be Dignity too if the (tasteless) GP and radio hadn't slept on it.

Hilary won, I hate that Dignity didn’t get the respect it deserved at the time but With Love is such a classic song and Metamorphosis is ALWAYS been that girl.

If radio gave Disney girls a chance back then, Legend H would have smashed even harder.

With Love is only gold? i feel like it has more, but damn that song was and still is a great bop! Love the production so much!

Dignity deserved more. With Love and Stranger were amazing singles that didn't really get the right push, and Happy could have been another good single. Too bad 2007 was the period of different types of songs where electro-dance-pop was lost in the mix. I think 2007 we had Bleeding Love, Apologize, The Sweet Escape, What Goes Around Comes Around, The Great Escape, Umbrella, Misery Business, Glamorous, Say It Right, Hey There Delilah, and Rehab are all smashing. What a bunch of different genres, I understand why With Love would be so lost in the mix. If only it came out with Womanizer, I Kissed a Girl, Just Dance maybe somehow, or it could have been cannibalized :dies:

According to SoundScan, Metamorphosis sold 2,405,000 copies by the end of 2003. Considering it was certified only one week into 2004, the only way for the album to have sold 3 million by then was either on the basis of music club sales (which were dying out by 2003), or shipments. Whilst Hilary did outsell Britney and by a large margin, the certification was undoubtedly a result of justifiably high shipments.

Yeah I assume shipment was the reason... Back then a lot of albums got certified based on shipment alone.
