favorite crime Posted October 7, 2023 Posted October 7, 2023 tanked, less than Utopia, 200k less than CLB. he is indeed on his way OUT. his next album will do sub-300k and then he'll fade into a legacy act 1
Feanor Posted October 7, 2023 Posted October 7, 2023 Republic Records about to have 4 of the 5 biggest debuts of the year after '1989 (TV)'…
ALA Posted October 7, 2023 Posted October 7, 2023 Too bad he's uninterested in getting physicals ready with release. Still good #s.

Cruel Summer Posted October 7, 2023 Posted October 7, 2023 This is actually better than I expected. I was thinking something like 350k.
Klein Posted October 7, 2023 Posted October 7, 2023 (edited) How is 400k+ a commercial failure? Only 4 artists could match this. Save the lashings for when he'll do below 200k. Edited October 7, 2023 by Klein 9

Dreajae Posted October 7, 2023 Posted October 7, 2023 It's a decline for sure. But if you can hit at least 300k first week, you're a-list. This is the new climate. But these predictions may be adjusted lower I feel. The shock value of the disses are getting old. 3 1
St. Charles Posted October 7, 2023 Posted October 7, 2023 I get that ppl here don't like Drake, but calling 400k a flop is a take you'd only find on ATRL. 10 1

So this is a major increase. Idk what you mean by proper. Also Evermore opened with 500,000 less than Folklore. Is Taylor over / a bomb? 2 1 1

Interesting cuz this forum will have you believe that Taylor is only successful due to constant new releases. Seems like it doesn't work for every artist... 2 1

While I agree with your message, this comparison makes no sense as the album was missing physicals (Taylor's biggest force).
Earfquake Posted October 7, 2023 Posted October 7, 2023 This isn't that bad at all actually, I wonder how much more it would've been if he had physicals included.
