He said this wasn’t a project that’s getting pushed. Regardless, he’s most likely on the decline. Happens to all artists that make his style of music (IE: Jason Mraz)

I mean, Jason Mraz is the original Ed Sheeran :michael: Sure Ed went a more pop route after awhile, but Ed’s first few releases are identical to Jason songs.

He's officially a legacy artist, he should focus on touring as often as he can now with only his older hits now

His decline must be studied. It's like the GP just stopped caring for his music.

He said it's an album for fans but he doesn't really have fans... Just GP who listen to his music here and there and go to his concerts :skull:

He scored two big hits last year/2 years ago, the way you'll all never learn... :rip:

Yeah but this is his 2nd flop album in a row.

He could have another hit as the Tik Tok era has shown anyone can have another viral hit (Kate Bush, Miley, Sia, Meghan, etc)  but his days of dominating are likely over.

Never count Ed out.

Ed Sheeran was waaaaaaaay bigger than Jason Mraz though; this kind of fall off is kind of crazy considering Ed’s peak

I mean, I don't think it's a fall-off. He just had a world tour that broke stadium attendance records all over the world, some shows with like 80k people. He'll be fine.

Wow that's not good... I expected a bit more, especially in the UK

Oh that's not… :rip:

I guess one should never count out male artists and 'Equals' was pretty successful all things considered, but if his next, more mainstream-oriented album can't score him hits, then I guess it's really over.

Not slightly above Famila when people where saying he was the reason Bam Bam was a hit :ahh:

His last album tanked and had a massively promoted Max Martin-produced single. Even the one before that's did mediocrely. Album sales and album track streams are in the pits, it's just lucky it had two hits

It was predictable AV would flop. He is still isn’t over, I could see his next pop project smash. It’s too soon to say he is over and a « legacy act » :skull:
