Albums 17 and 18 are already in the pipeline.

I don't think Madonna will score another #1 album in UK.

I don't think she has the hype anymore. Unless Celebration Tour is an enormous success of course and people are interested in Madonna again. Plus, she hasn't released good and GP friendly music in ages.

She will. All she needs to do is pick a week that no other big current name is coming out with an album and play to her strengths (pure pop music and dance). People were not here for her last experiments, but she’s just one europop album away from having success again for her standards with her current music

Well, the GP is excited for the tour, and like I said before, she's working with Max Martin, Stuart Price and Nile Rogers, so that could very well change.

Kylie needs another 4 #1 albums to break Madonna's UK record, and who's to say they will all go to #1?  A #1 isn't guaranteed.

taylor's ratio of #1 albums to #1 singles is...interesting

albums>> tho

Well prior to the US moving to Friday as the start of the tracking week, the US and UK had different tracking periods.  It was also pretty common for an artist to release in the US and hold the single back from the UK for a few weeks and then release it so it could debut at number 1.  I remember Katy Perry’s roar and Ariana’s problem did this but it was pretty common.

Taylor never did this so most of her debuts were split between two weeks in the first part of her career.

She has a pretty big fanbase there. I think it's possible for her to get another #1.

Her last 2 albums which failed to hit #1 sold quite well in their first week. Rebel Heart opened with 37K and Madame X with 20K.

Let’s be real, she’s really #2 considering Taylor’s re-records are included in that number :clap3: A legend :jonny:

You say that like Madonna and Kylie don't have compilation albums contributing to their total which is essentially repackaging the same songs

No, it's clearly going above yours. 3 re-recordings of the same album, with several more to come. That's not a compilation album, and neither artist has released 5+ compilation albums.

Comparing the repackaging of the same songs in different formats via re-recorded albums or compilations is not a stretch.

No it’s not, but artists don’t do it 5+ times, as Taylor is re-recording *6* albums.

Madonna has 11 albums that have charted in the UK that are a repackaging of old songs (live, remix or greatest hits). Kylie has 14 of the same.

And Lana has only 2# albums in her home country. UK serves superior taste :clap3:
