DatChickDoe Posted September 29, 2023 Posted September 29, 2023 Not bad for a song originally paid dust because of COVID.
Cruel Summer Posted September 29, 2023 Posted September 29, 2023 From pop radio starting to drop her after Delicate to having this pop radio SMASH 2
MidnightsAtPeace Posted September 29, 2023 Posted September 29, 2023 I always knew cruel summer was going to be a smash hit. I knew it was going to be a career-defining hit before the album was out
Walk_Away21 Posted September 29, 2023 Posted September 29, 2023 Vindication for the fans finally Whoever chose ME and YNTCD deserve jail. (aka Blondie!)
KOMH Posted September 29, 2023 Posted September 29, 2023 Would've gone #1 on the Hot 100 as well if it was literally on any other album 1
Timeless Posted September 29, 2023 Posted September 29, 2023 (edited) I hope this teaches Taylor a lesson to never make a Lover 2.0 rollout again Edited September 29, 2023 by Timeless
By the Water Posted September 29, 2023 Posted September 29, 2023 And it’ll soon be among her 10 biggest hot 100 hits, meaning 3 of her pop albums will be represented

byzantium Posted September 29, 2023 Posted September 29, 2023 Having the record for most Pop #1s is very impressive considering she did not even get her 2nd #1 until more then 6 years after her debut. Queen of longevity

Steve Johnson Posted September 29, 2023 Posted September 29, 2023 Biggest and most memorable Smash of the year
Ger Posted September 29, 2023 Posted September 29, 2023 I'm still so shocked by this song's success, never thought it would become in such an important smash for Taylor. The way she won GP back and BIG time is insane!
PurrKaty Posted September 29, 2023 Posted September 29, 2023 With in this past year Taylor got her longest Hot 100 #1 with Anti-Hero and her longest Pop #1 with Cruel Summer. She’s unstoppable
JawBreaker Posted September 29, 2023 Posted September 29, 2023 What a turn around it has been since anti hero she was a radio poison for like 5 years I hope Taylor keeps this radio streak going. Radio tends to latch on artist that have a string of back to back radio hits. So I hope she has a good song for radio programmers to eat up from 1989 tv.
naval23 Posted September 30, 2023 Posted September 30, 2023 “Cruel Summer,” eight (to date), 2023 “I Knew You Were Trouble,” seven, 2013 “Blank Space,” six, 2014-15 Wow at this top 3 being her best singles - IKYWT being #2 is a SLAY
Mr. Duff Posted September 30, 2023 Posted September 30, 2023 And both songs were close to #1, shows that being #1 is amazing but not the only way to become a classic hit. Trouble deserved #1 so much though. Cruel Summer too, but it peaking at #3 looks so much better than #2 peaking Trouble (in my opinion).
