Imagine how tired we are with this TOTC tweets... watch it end up being #4 or something :swan:

The tour movie might actually push it to #1 tho

It’s weird that she didn’t try to push CS to number 1 for at least one week. It’s well deserved compared to her other quick number 1 singles. Maybe she’s worried about overexposure I guess

she is already all over the media and I don’t think a #1 on hot 100 will make anything differences, she just don’t care about a song from previous era I guess

She likes them number one debuts, has shown minimal effort at late run number ones

With the exception of AH, all her recent #1 debuts did not perform as well as CS. I also foresee CS surpassing AH some day, given how organic it is.

I don't understand why a song from Lover is even charting, but I'm not too upset about it. Lover was criminally slept on.

I rather this does NOT happen. #2 peaks are such a TRIGGER for my OCD lol

Crazy how this is still going so strong, glad it became a two-seasons hit, either summer or fall. Now I understand all the praise for this song. :jonny:

Not even remotely a Swiftie and team Olivie on the whole Deja Vu thing, but I've been bopping to this song all summer long and seeing how close it has been to #1 too many times now, gosh, I can't even imagine the emotional rollercoaster that yall have been going through lol This one really deserves #1 Billboard Top 100

Give it up my friends :rip:

I feel like a #3 peak is fitting because a #2 is ugly and it’s kinda far from #1 now.

It’s still a smash! Not all smashes can be #1s.

TOTC really knows how to get clicks from the Swiftes :deadbanana2:

In the final update it will probably be #5  :skull:

It's actually predicted to be #4 for now. #4-#2 are really close. But there's no point in pushing this now since #1 is not remotely close.

In anticipation of this moment, I purchased the Cruel Summer track on iTunes months ago. This week I am going to use the complete my album feature to buy Lover and create a negative purchase for CS. I urge anyone who's bought the song before to do the same. We can't let her win.

They don't count the negative sales from Complete My Album in the Hot 100 anymore. They used to, but they changed the rule in the mid-10's.

Peaking at #3 looks ugly, hopefully it repeaks. It'd be iconic if it peaks at #2 like Me! & YNTCD.

Im surprised its holding off so well on radio and also in stream. Especially this is fall season already

Swifties should hold on and go all out on the movie release week. But on if she released a live version.

I swear this is the 4th or 5th time they tweeted something like this in the last two months :skull:

it's been months with CS being close to #1 predictions, with it then ending up at #4 or sth, it's triggering at this point

Smashing with an album is different than having a multi week #1 smash tho.

His last #1 that spend multiple weeks at top was 5 years ago and all of his last 6 #1s struggled to spend second week at top but who knows, maybe seventh time's a charm

No but they were always released in more competitive times, they still did more than 300 points for weeks. Rich Flex, Jimmy Cooks, Toosie Slide, LNCL would all be Multi-Werk #1s today. I think CS can only go #1 if Taylor's team does something like drop the live version & tour video

I think this could easily go #1 the week of October 13 if she released a live version that Friday w the tour performance also uploaded to YouTube to coincide with the film release, and then releasing a *good* music video that Monday morning in whatever post thanking everyone for the massive box office weekend the film will have had. The film is gonna get so much press just for its ticket sales that many people with no strong knowledge of Taylor (mainly men) will check out a song or two of hers, and she should make sure Cruel Summer is the one everyone lands on. It will definitely be the last chance she could hit #1 with this

She’s not doing any of that though

The fact that Cruel Summer is still peaking on radio is insane. Like thought it peaked weeks ago :worship:
