The numbers are still horrible. I feel bad for her. I was expecting AT LEAST 100k after PH. She deserves so much more after PH’s smashery but the new music just generally isn’t hitting. She can still recover though. The demand is there…AH is starting to smash so at least she’ll get 2 big hits off this album.

I think these are ok numbers. She's been mainstream for just 3 years and her hits have mostly been pop. The era had a rocky start and she's not the kind of artist who relies on obsessive stans for a big debut.

She’s definitely in it for the long run, even if this isn’t a super high debut, she’s still bagging hits. People reacted the same way to Rih’s album sales every time she debuted and look what happened. 

 

Being a singles artist isn’t necessarily a bad thing when your singles are as massive as Doja’s are. The next era will speak more towards her potential longevity in the industry. This is her Rated R, we’ll see if DC5 is her Loud.
