Her pulling these numbers with 70M monthly listeners and a huge WW smash is not good. Like at all. She is very much giving a singles artist in the rapper realm. No one is consuming her album as a body of work. Just a couple hits. So she’s being held to a higher standard because she’s simply far and beyond above her peers. Sounds like a SMASHA artist to me, constantly raising the bar, the next Rihanna 1

wish Posted September 29, 2023 Posted September 29, 2023 Can't Wait totally overperformed compared to the other tracks around it. Quality always wins

slw84 Posted September 29, 2023 Posted September 29, 2023 Ouchies, Gun, Go off and can't wait. They need to pick 2-3 for future singles 1
professor2000 Posted September 29, 2023 Posted September 29, 2023 (edited) People aren’t consuming the album, because it’s a completely separate vibe compared to her previous works (and the singles they presented). Like…duh. RCA/her team dumb for not doing more promo explaining her creative process + separately trying to patch things up with Black audience (presumably who would even be remotely interested in a Boom bap-inspired Rap album). And still even that would’ve been risky. Boom bap is just……not it, commercially. Regardless of the artist. Especially these days. I think she could’ve delivered a Rap album, but with her own twist…that could’ve been appealing to her various audiences… a la BWET. Oh well! With that said, it’s still serving quality…especially in comparison to what we’ve been getting from rap lately (female or male). Edited September 29, 2023 by professor2000 2

Otherwise, they might have to do a deluxe and add some more songs. But it’ll have to be Doja idea, b/c if not…it’ll never happen

Ivan_brit Posted September 30, 2023 Posted September 30, 2023 130 million streams is a very solid number

Kern Posted September 30, 2023 Posted September 30, 2023 People trying to twist it around only for it to doesn’t sound like a complete flop you did clownery and the clown came back to bite, what else there is to discuss?

I loved the album and listened to a few times but LMAO at her fans acting as if those horrible numbers are good she is this decades most promoted artist and genZ is totally aware of who doja is and when she has music out. Tiktok works for her. Those numbers are HORRIBLE. After all those years of working and promoting people didn’t give a f which is concerning. She should shut up and stop having a big mouth to everyone and only focus on making music. She should be controlled and i don’t care if this sounds toxic lol 1
Power love Posted September 30, 2023 Posted September 30, 2023 Perhaps she should have one more pop rap album before taking this massive risk. What’s for sure though RCA will make her release a more mainstream album next era. Best believe that
Rev8 Posted September 30, 2023 Posted September 30, 2023 Why do the users who insist that she is flopping, sound like they are having a meltdown?
