family.guy123 Posted September 21, 2023 Posted September 21, 2023 Reminds me of this time in history. Charts are so dire By the late 1990s, physical single sales in Canada had greatly declined. In April 1999, Billboarddescribed Canada's singles market as "dire" and Doug Spence, Director of the Canadian operations of Soundscan, said: "there's no singles market here".[7] Due to the limited amount of commercially available physical singles, singles began remaining on the chart for lengthy periods of time. Elton John's charity single "Candle in the Wind '97"/"Something About the Way You Look Tonight" spent 45 weeks at number one despite selling only one million copies in its first two years of release in the country.[8] It stayed in the top twenty for three years.[9]

This chart is based on how many people a song reaches across all tracking and metrics. There have been dance songs bigger on radio, that have sold more, are played more in clubs, since September 2022. But overall when you add it all up, I’m Good has reached the most people.
dumbsparce Posted September 22, 2023 Posted September 22, 2023 It makes sense tbh. Has any dance song even become a hit after this?

Ger Posted September 22, 2023 Posted September 22, 2023 Irresistible earworm, excellent song idc despite how generic it is, the formula just works pretty damn well.
UnusualBoy Posted September 22, 2023 Posted September 22, 2023 Glad the song turned out a big hit for both.

Outside of old Rihanna songs re-entering after Halftime, The dance charts (overall) have been incredibly stagnant this year when it comes to big hits, there’s only been just over 25 songs to hit in the top 10 in 9 months, and that’s not even including 2022 tracks (Break My Soul, Hold Me Closer, Im Good, Miss You, Numb) that hogged up the charts for a solid 5 months. Ava Max - “Choose Your Fighter” Bizarrap & Shakira - “Session #53” Bizarrap & Arcangel - “Session #54” Bizarrap & Quevedo - “Session #52” Bizarrap & Rauw Alejandro - “Session #56” Calvin Harris and Ellie Goulding - “Miracle” Calvin Harris and Sam Smith - “Desire” David Guetta, Anne Marie & Coi Leray - “Baby Don’t Hurt Me” David Guetta and Bebe Rexha - “One in a Million” Marshmello and Dove Cameron - “Other Boys” Marshmello and Farruka - “Esta Vida” Marshmello and Manuel Turizo - “El Merengue” Miley Cyrus - “River” MK & Dom Dolla - “Rhyme Dust” Odetari - “Good Loyal Thots” Odetari - “Look Don’t Touch” Odetari - “Narcissistic Personality” Kim Petras feat. Nicki Minaj - “Alone” Kylie Minogue - “Padam Padam” Peggy Gou - “(It Goes Like) Nanana” P!nk - “Trustfall” Skrillex, Fred Again and Flowdan - “Rumble” Skrillex, Missy Elliot and Mr. Ozio - “RATATATA” Tiesto and Tate McRae - “10:35” Troye Sivan - “Rush”
