Some people can be sensitive about their favorite artists. I used to get really defensive about Taylor, hell sometimes I still do, but I mostly understand that whether or not someone knows or likes her has no bearing on me and there’s no point arguing with someone’s music taste

For what it’s worth, I understand that others have used that kind of statement as a drag in the past (Europeans used to use it to discredit Taylor a lot) but in this case I don’t think the guy you’re quoting was dragging BB at all. He’s not implying he doesn’t understand the fame, he’s just pointing out their own surprise at -their- personal experience of not having heard a song yet. That’s all. My perception at least. But carry on as you were

That’s exactly what I’m saying! I didn’t say “I don’t listen to this artist, so why is he popular?” I’m shocked at how he’s managed to completely slide under my radar whilst being this popular on streaming. It wasn’t even remotely a drag, if anything, it was a drag to myself.

how is an artist that smash in physical sales and then the 2nd best selling artist in digital era (only behind Rih, but if we dont count Rih`s features then Taylor is number 1 digital artist)
