yes it's 8 hours but in the Us they are the 8 hours in the day when you make the most streams, in the night and in the morning of course there are less streams.

What i mean with a full day it would have made like 2x times that not three times (8 x 3).

Obviously it's huge huge numbers but the thing that most don't know about is that mid day release actually rises faster than midnight release

The Saturday numbers will probably be insane, but I wouldn't be surprised if the song fell significantly throughout the week. No shade, but the song isn't that great for either of their standards. It will probably do pretty well in the US regardless though, I just can't see it doing major damage WW.

I don't know what's so massive about these numbers... the song did 3.5M worldwide and even if we take into account it's only from 8 hours and multiply it by 3 (which is crazy and obviously doesn't work like that), he would be doing something like 9-10M streams.  It's great but far away from being groundbreaking. 

Taylor broke the record with several songs doing over 12M streams and the whole standard edition of Midnights did above 9M.  Drake is not beating that if his album is that local.

And does it matter if it’s a local hit ? He’s an American artist foremost, if he’s pulling #1 on Spotify and AM US if they keep having the same longevity another number one is secured.

If it truly smashes, FATD should do around 5/10M more than Certified Lover Boy on Spotify Global, so that's around 160M (and that's just a guess considering the growth in The Anglosphere + a similar amount of tracks on the record).... 

 

Drake is just not big enough in Southern Europe/Latin America/Southeast Asia to pull up a bigger debut than Midnights
