Dreajae Posted September 16, 2023 Posted September 16, 2023 It's a disgusting misogyny laced song. 6 1
vale9001 Posted September 16, 2023 Posted September 16, 2023 very big in the us, not that much globally. But the timing was better for the Us probably. In europe was already dinner time when it was released.
JorgeM Posted September 16, 2023 Posted September 16, 2023 The global flop. Tate McRae doing more than him outside US despite having SZA

YellowRibbon Posted September 16, 2023 Posted September 16, 2023 It had 8 hours of tracking though. Spotify uses GMT for their streams count.

omrimayo Posted September 16, 2023 Posted September 16, 2023 Almost 2.2M in 8 hours is insane and we all know that. No way to spin this around.
vale9001 Posted September 16, 2023 Posted September 16, 2023 (edited) yes it's 8 hours but in the Us they are the 8 hours in the day when you make the most streams, in the night and in the morning of course there are less streams. What i mean with a full day it would have made like 2x times that not three times (8 x 3). Edited September 16, 2023 by vale9001 1
Dialamba Posted September 16, 2023 Posted September 16, 2023 He’s so massive and people think he isn’t gonna break Spotify records

Obviously it's huge huge numbers but the thing that most don't know about is that mid day release actually rises faster than midnight release 52 minutes ago, vale9001 said: yes it's 8 hours but in the Us they are the 8 hours in the day when you make the most streams, in the night and in the morning of course there are less streams. NumbSoul Posted September 16, 2023 Posted September 16, 2023 The Saturday numbers will probably be insane, but I wouldn't be surprised if the song fell significantly throughout the week. No shade, but the song isn't that great for either of their standards. It will probably do pretty well in the US regardless though, I just can't see it doing major damage WW.

It's great but far away from being groundbreaking. Taylor broke the record with several songs doing over 12M streams and the whole standard edition of Midnights did above 9M. Drake is not beating that if his album is that local. 3

He’s an American artist foremost, if he’s pulling #1 on Spotify and AM US if they keep having the same longevity another number one is secured. Why do y’all keep inserting Taylor all the time 2
YellowRibbon Posted September 16, 2023 Posted September 16, 2023 (edited) If it truly smashes, FATD should do around 5/10M more than Certified Lover Boy on Spotify Global, so that's around 160M (and that's just a guess considering the growth in The Anglosphere + a similar amount of tracks on the record).... Drake is just not big enough in Southern Europe/Latin America/Southeast Asia to pull up a bigger debut than Midnights OT: great US numbers, even if the message of the song sucks Edited September 16, 2023 by YellowRibbon
