Bears01 Posted September 15, 2023 Posted September 15, 2023 https://www.nbcnews.com/news/amp/rcna105154 This story is so sad, and so infuriating
TheCheshireCat Posted September 15, 2023 Posted September 15, 2023 The video made me cry a little bit, he was probably so scared everyday, plus BOTH of his parents died too? Some people get such a bad hand in life it's so unfair.
scenekiller Posted September 15, 2023 Posted September 15, 2023 Hot take but those teens deserve felonies on their permanent record idc if they're "just kids" they knew what they were doing and should face the consequences of it for the rest of their lives 2 10

On top of the fact that the kids who killed him got 47 days of juvie. Maybe Republicans are right, states like CA do need to get a little “tough on crime” 2 1
SoldierofLove Posted September 15, 2023 Posted September 15, 2023 This is terribly sad and very triggering. I was bullied when I was a kid. It was hell. If the violence doesn’t kill you, ending your own life could. Schools and parents need to do a better job of raising kids. 1
bliaz Posted September 15, 2023 Posted September 15, 2023 Fu*king monsters, they should be in jail. They are a danger to society. And the principal should also be punished. 1
dumbsparce Posted September 15, 2023 Posted September 15, 2023 (edited) Those monsters were 14 and killed an inoccent kid and they think "anger management" sessions is what they needed? Also, the assumption that it was "involuntary" manslaughter is complete bs. They knew what they were doing. They belong in prison. Edited September 15, 2023 by dumbsparce
Credit Posted September 15, 2023 Posted September 15, 2023 **** bullying. he deserved so much better. it is so insane that bullying is still happening to kids all over the world even today and going largely unchecked?
Pop Life Posted September 15, 2023 Posted September 15, 2023 Fact of the matter is that schools talk a big game about not tolerating bullying, but most will bend over backwards to protect said bullies over their victims. The average campus has anything from stalking and harassment to hate crimes and physical assault happening on a daily basis, but none of the adults want to put in the work necessary to address it. Had this poor soul fought back the school likely would have punished him even while letting his bullies off the hook.
Leppie Posted September 15, 2023 Posted September 15, 2023 Death to that principal who claimed to be doing something about it but did nothing. Hope they are miserable forever
DamianSolo Posted September 16, 2023 Posted September 16, 2023 Bullying needs to be taken a lot more seriously. It's much too often swept under the rug with the perpetrators getting only a slap on the wrist, if that. There needs to be a whole infrastructure built to address bullying, for how widespread and disgustingly rampant it is. Once someone is accused of bullying someone, there needs to be an actual investigation held with the child doing the bullying being put into counseling. Counseling should also be offered to the child that was bullied, so they can work through what happened and effectively learn to put it behind them. Bullying is not normal behavior, nor should it be treated as such. I hate how much of a careless society we live in.
