Okay well I never purposely catfished someone, but I had a girl character on Runescape and I never felt like correcting people when they assumed I was a girl. It's funny because people who typically were suspicious of those things had no idea with me...probably because I am naturally warm and welcoming, which isn't a trait seen in guys online as often!

Anyway, sometimes guys would hit on me and I'm thinking to myself "okay, awkward. I don't want to make it more awkward by saying I'm a guy" so whatever I just went with. OMG when someone found out I was a guy they started cussing me out and calling me disgusting and that they were deleting me because they never wanted to talk to me again. I was upset at the time, but I find it hilarious now. The way he was so triggered because I had a girl character.

I would if I actually wanted to be one. I was just helping the others who weren't as naturally feminine!

Episode 9 - The Entries 1

Lola and Negrita Cabezas

"Ooh, I wanna play too!"

Negrita Cabezas is the newest adopted sister from a land land far away that Lola's father was able to sneak into a hut at night and take her without much hesitation from the village people. Negrita was scared at first to find herself in a new land, but quickly began to adapt to her new kingdom and enjoyed not sleeping on a straw floor mat for her bedding. It took a bit of trouble for Lola to teach her new sister the ways to be a princess, but eventually, she got her just right!

- Curtains draw -

The lights flash on stage, and large book propped open is illuminated. The book begins to narrate

"Once upon a time there lived a beautiful mermaid princess who had everything in the world, except for one thing"

Out appears Lola appearing somber and sad, she is lonely. She has no one to play with, she needs a new sister.

-First narration-

From the right of the stage pops out Negrita ( looking malnourished)

~My Black Friend~

Lola beings lip syncing to the first part of the performance (My Black Friend) excited and jumping around mouthing the words she hugs and pulls at Negrita to join her. Lola is excited and joyful! Lola is showing off to the crowd (she’s so happy that she has a black friend!) When the part of the song gets to “And she raps so I’m going to let her” as Negrita is about to say something Lola again cuts her off to sing about her new sister! For the rest of the song Lola tries to impress Negrita but handing her fried chicken and watermelon. You know, African traditions.

a2k2VQw.gif

-Cue to narration-

Lola is alone with Negrita, and pointing out all her flaws. Joyfully, she begins to pick apart at all the things she’s going to fix about Negrita to make her the best princess ever. Lola begins lip syncing to “Popular”. During the performance Lola is pretending to flat iron Negrita’s hair ( girl its KINKY) as well as lighten Negrita’s skin with some foundation. I mean light skinned = popular and a princess right? Negrita finally steps out of her rags dress and into a beautiful dress fit for a princess.

Xsv1BRu.gif

-Cue to narration-

As Negrita teaches Lola to dance, Negrita beings lip syncing to “One, Two Step” giving off some fierce hip hop urban Bronx-type-African-Rodney King Riots dance moves. Finger licking good! Lola does her best to imitate her sister but she is just NOT getting the dance moves. White girl can’t dance. Finally in the bridge (it don’t matter to me we can dance slow) Negrita finally slows it down for her and Lola finally starts to get the moves. The two sisters start gleefully hugging and cheering.

4yGcGV2.gif

-Cue to narration-

As the beat of the song starts, Negrita and Lola walk out hand in hand and begin their final lip sync to “It’s Like That”, it is their ball after all. They are hitting every beat in sync and showing off their hard work they did on each other. Negrita never looked more caucasian and Lola never danced better. They are feeling their oats. As the song is nearing its end, Negrita starts mouthing the belting parts getting into the EMOTION. The two sisters are finally happy. Lola got a new sister and Negrita doesn’t have to worry about living in a hut!

So for this weeks look I really was inspired by of course two Disney sisters, Anna and Elsa from Frozen. I really liked this idea that while Elsa represents Winter, Anna represents the Spring time. I really wanted to incorporate that into these looks for our runway. So I picked two dresses with identical shapes but with different themes. So Negrita is serving some full bloom realness, I'm giving you winter wonderland. I really like the contrast of the two looks but they are both giving you some classic Lola royalty!

Melanoma and Necrosis

( @talent and @C/H/A/N/E/L )

Quote

klFsKmd.png

Mother dearest, Melanoma, appears to slowly float onto the stage.

Her impossibly black gown trails behind her as she centres herself and removes her short veil.

There is no light, but rather a dim red glow illuminating her.

Hundreds of candles line the runway, but not a single one is lit.

Good evening, everyone. Tonight, we celebrate!

Beloved sisters, we have gathered to welcome our new blood.

Some call her Robbie Rotten; we embrace her as Necrosis.

aJJzlBf.gif

We shall mourn her past, and celebrate her future.

We shall bathe her cadaver in nothing but the finest glamour.

Tonight we shall raise her from her grave and into her glory!

The dim glow completely blacks out, and throws the stage into pitch darkness.

Melanoma removes a match from her clutch and strikes it against her nail, lighting it.

tumblr_mhpz2lyIjh1qhu608o1_500.gif

As she does so, the hundreds of candles onstage are suddenly lit.

While the lights were out, an ancient coffin was rolled onto the stage.

Melanoma is kneeling at the front of the stage with her back to the box.

As she stares into the match's flame, Maya Angelou begins to speak.

Melanoma repeats her words in time, as if in a trance.

You may write me down in history
With your bitter, twisted lies,
You may trod me in the very dirt
But still, like dust, I’ll rise.

Melanoma stands and blows out the match, and the light from the candles grows brighter.

candle-animated-gif-1.gif

Does my sassiness upset you?
Why are you beset with gloom?
‘Cause I walk like I’ve got oil wells
Pumping in my living room.

The sound of a heart begins to pump in time with the spoken word.

The coffin appears to be breathing in the middle of the room.

Melanoma tosses her veil far into the crowd, ending her mourning.

The black cloth falls menacingly over the audience like a curse.

Just like moons and like suns,
With the certainty of tides,
Just like hopes springing high,
Still I’ll rise.

tenor.gif

A hand slowly creeps out of the coffin, startling the onlookers.

It waits, turning slowly, as if seeing through its palms.

The noise in the venue dims to a deafening quiet...

On the first note of Heads Will Roll, the coffin bursts open.

As an eclipse of moths escapes, Necrosis is revealed.

She is in a slimmer funeral gown, but with a much longer black veil.

MTY3bhT.gif

Melanoma and Necrosis slowly saunter around each other, posing on either side of the stage.

They freeze in uncomfortable positions facing each other until Karen O begins to sing.

Off with your head
Dance 'til you're dead
Heads will roll
Heads will roll
Heads will roll
On the floor

During each line, the two ghouls shift into poses, freezing again at the end.

Every tableau gets more grotesque until the end; contorted, the girls obscure the coffin.

Melanoma stands behind Necrosis, her hands around her neck, a sign of tension.

As the first verse begins, Necrosis tears her veil off her head and flings it backstage.

Glitter on the west streets
Silver over everything
The rivers all wet
You're all chrome

original.gif

Dripping with alchemy
Shiver stop shivering
The glitter's all wet
You're all chrome

The candles are blown out and the smoke consumes the stage.

A bright white spotlight floods the pair as a dark red glow shines behind them.

The lip sync is captivating, dark, and angular; the audience cannot look away.

The men cry out the girls cry out
The men cry out the girls cry out
The men cry out, oh no

The men cry out the girls cry out
The men cry out the girls cry out
The men cry out, oh no

The girls slowly tear away piece by piece of their funeral gowns.

The hauntingly dark fabric is strewn haphazardly around the stage.

Underneath, their outfits reveal into matching, sinisterly mature couture.

OjaRIuf.png

Off, off with your head
Dance, dance 'til you're dead
Heads will roll
Heads will roll
Heads will roll
On the floor

The red light's strength triples as it bathes the runway in a bloody hue.

Tributes of Melanoma's competitors in the form of severed heads are thrown onto the stage.

Melanoma and Necrosis move their bodies; their twisted, sexual motion continues to captivate the audience.

You came last
Take the past
Shut your eyes
Realize

Melanoma picks Mystique's head from the menage of offerings.

She moans the words with Karen O, glaring into Mystique's eyes.

Necrosis hands her a giant butcher knife, and Melanoma examines the blade.

ClearSandyBellsnake.gif

You came last
Take the past
Shut your eyes
Realize

Melanoma cuts Mystique's mouth open, and a stream of red glitter and confetti pour out.

Necrosis grabs a knife herself and begins to do the same with all the other girls.

The stage is bathed in a shimmering red, lighting the room.

Glitter on the west streets
Silver over everything
The glitter's all wet
You're all chrome
You're all chrome

A cleansing rain begins to pour from the ceiling, washing the glitter into troughs on the edge of the stage.

giphy.gif

Melanoma and Necrosis revel in the rain, tossing the heads into the audience.

They mouth the words as they perform their devilish choreography.

Glitter on the west streets
Silver over everything
The glitter's all wet
You're all chrome
You're all chrome

Oh oh
Oh!
Oh oh

At the hit of the final chorus, the rain turns to blood.

jiIAPso.gif

The lights flash white and red, stirring the audience to dance with the sisters in the final act.

Off off off with your head
Dance dance dance 'til you're dead
Off off off with your head
Dance dance dance 'til you're dead
Off off off with your head
Dance dance dance 'til you're dead

The energy of the performance increases tenfold.

Melanoma and Necrosis perform their hearts out of their chest.

The two get the crowd screaming for their attention.

Off off off with your head
Dance dance dance 'til you're dead
Off off off with your head
Dance dance dance 'til you're dead
Off off off with your head
Dance dance dance 'til you're dead

The two are heaving with exhaustion, nearly dead again.

They stare into each other's eyes, forgetting anyone is watching.

They end the performance in each other's arms.

Gladys Lux and Edith Bea Maure

The House of Maure

Introducing... Edith Bea Maure!

The House of Maure is a living, breathing art house. Inspired by theatre, art, and Japanese culture, the House of Maure tells stories with eccentric outfits, bold colors, and bombastic performances. My house has a unique arsenal of references that breaks new ground in ATRL’s Drag Race.

Edith and I worked well together this week. I’ve always had a vivid imagination, but I’ve only started to define my brand in the past few weeks. I was able to find a lot of common ground with Moonchild this week, and her eye for detail and analytical mind helped me structure and focus my entry. I’ve decided to highlight three cornerstones of the House of Maure this week: theatre, Japanese culture and art.

Meet the Girls

Gladys Lux Maure

Black Is This Year's Pink

Beyoncé / Ariana Grande / JoJo

Rihanna / Mariah Carey / Whitney Houston

? And if I'm flying solo, at least I'm flying free. ?

Gladys was nervous when she joined the Jasmine Masters Academy of Jush and the Arts, but she quickly became the talk of the campus. With a sweet smile and a can-do attitude, Gladys formed a student brothel to pay for her tuition. As madam, Gladys learned the important skills of business management and a strong bitch slap. After a chance encounter with producer Alexis Michelle, Gladys’ drag career took off. Now Gladys travels the world with Edith, eager to show off her art skills and business sense.

Pretty in Pink

Lady Gaga / Cher / Kylie Minogue

Madonna / Carly Rae Jepsen / Allie X

? I’ll teach you the proper poise when you talk to boys, little ways to flirt and flounce. ?

Gladys met Edith blowing trade behind a dumpster at their private arts academy. After Edith beat Gladys’ ass for ruining the session, the two became best friends. Edith became the star hooker of Gladys’ brothel, sleeping their way to 5½ stars on Yelp. Edith’s goal in life is to **** John Stamos, and she’ll serve swagger and suavity until she does. In her off hours, Edith likes reading, jaywalking and doing hard drugs with Tangerine.

Our avatar and signature set represent the House of Maure’s love for theatre. My drag has always been influenced by theatre, which you can see in my Sissy That Lip Sync, so it was fun to include it again. Our sets represent the two main characters from Wicked, Elphaba and Glinda. Our avatars show performances from Wicked, and our user titles reference lines in the musical. Our signatures show Edith’s and my favorite music artists and lyrics we liked from “Popular” and “Defying Gravity.” We also made fun back stories for our characters that we wanted to share!

The Performance

GcCBiuW.jpg

(L - Edith, R - Gladys)

Song link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bQFnp19XIpY

Our debut performance shows the House of Maure’s love for Japanese culture. My first thought for our performance was a j-pop inspired duet. We bring things to a modern era by becoming our own idol unit. We chose to perform Danity Kane’s “Damaged”, a high-tempo banger that gives the energy of a live j-pop concert and lets us serve the tight choreography that idol groups are known for.

We enter the stage in tandem and immediately start hitting the beats of the song. The stage floor is made to look like a giant Twister board, but each circle is actually a puddle of paint. As the song progresses, the girls send paint splashing and flying by stomping across the stage. The paint covers our sleek and clean monochromatic dresses, creating two entirely new looks. Both of us are in perfect unison throughout the song, nailing our choreography.

Halfway through the song, we pull paintbrushes out of our dresses, dip them in the paint on stage and splatter each other and our front-row fans. This house is known for our art, and we’re giving people what they came to see. We’re serving you attitude, pouty face and precise arm movements as we strut to the edge and collect our tips. With costumes, choreography, and charisma like none other, we create our art live by dancing and painting at the same time. Eat your heart out, Blue Man Group!

The Runway

jbTSH2v.jpg

(L - Gladys, R - Edith)

Our runway shows the House of Maure’s love of art and fashion. I was inspired by 1960s Yves Saint Laurent and Piet Mondrian’s iconic Composition paintings, with a signature Maure twist. I skip down the runway with a bubbly attitude and gesture for my new sister Edith, who struts down the stage after me, cool and collected. I'm happy to have a new sickening sister in the House of Maure!

I hope you all enjoy! :date3: Love you Moonchild! :heart2:

Episode 9 - The Entries 2

Faye Shull and Fayce Fock

( @True Skarlet and @Citrus )

Quote

To understand my drag sister, you have to understand where 'Faye Shull' comes from. Obviously, it's a pun on the word "facial", and facial is referring to both the medical and sexual act in this instance. I tied this idea together in my entrance look. A bloody gnarly nurse encompasses the medical meaning of the word while the sexual nature was expressed by how lascivious I made that look. It's why my member title is "Naughty Nurse". It's a callback to the look that embodied me the best.

However, my drag name is more than that. When I say "something different, every time" in my entries I'm referring to my runway looks but specifically, my face. Look at Arta Fishullmy Club Kid and Monochrome Ice Queen looks as examples. I'm always trying a new face on, I give myself a metaphorical and literal 'facial' each entry and THAT's what my name's true meaning is.

With that said I now present you:

Fayce Fock

Slutty Esthetician

OvRsFuc.png

________________

??‍⚕️? "Something brand new, all over you." ??‍⚕️?

_______________

I think the pun with the name is obvious but let me tell you something about Citrus. I have known him since 2014 and let it be known: he is a slut. We were not just friends back then if you catch my drift. I guess we're incestuous sisters in that regard but I actually think my name is a truer representation of him than his current alias. This is clearly the Embracing Who You Are challenge, not the Makeover challenge for him honestly.

His subtitle as "Slutty Esthetician" is representing that if you book an appointment at his spa you will get a lot more than a Faye Shull but your Fayce Fock'd. For those of you not informed an esthetician does facials, waxing and other skin treatments at salons, day spas or skin spas, and medi spas. The title also keeps in theme with my subtitle as "Naughty Nurse. We serve a true duo at the Faye Shull Day Spa

Fayce's avatar is of Lilith from the Darkstalkers series. Lilith is Morrigan's pseudo half-sister and Morrigan is the succubus in my avatar so it was the natural choice. Morrigan is beautiful, sexy, confident, conceited, and playful. All those traits I have represented in certain looks I have done in the game so far. Look at my Pride look as an example of that. In the games Lilith is somewhat an extension of Morrigan. I'm not going to give you her full backstory because this is Drag Race, not Gaming Race but basically: she shares traits that Morrigan has.

rHr78YT.pngOvRsFuc.png

Put our avatars side by side and the correlation is there. Both our avatars depict suggestive body language and Lilith is even making the same hand motion as Morrigan, it's just at a different angle. They really are sisters but Fayce Fock is arguably a nastier name than mine. Perfect for Citrus really.

My signature reads:

??‍⚕️ ? "Something different, every time." ??‍⚕️?

My signature phrase is here but with some playful emojis to emphasize the salacious nature of what I'm saying.

Fayce's signature is a similar, if not more carnal, play on my slogan.

??‍⚕️? "Something brand new, all over you." ??‍⚕️?

I mean, duh, it's blatantly referring to how her puss will be shoved in your face if you become her spa client but it's also on brand since just like me, Fayce will always deliver you something new each time. The layouts of our signatures are meant to match yet still have a distinct quality to them.

Speaking of which, it's now time for our debut performance together.

Keeping in line with how I do something different, every time, I'm telling a story about family, perseverance and strength. The tale is partially inspired by my life at the moment.

I don't like to mention my life outside of this game too much as it's not really that great. I'd feel weak and that everyone will just interpret it as me trying to gain sympathy or get attention if I did talk about it. This past week in particular has been... rough to say the least. Even as I type up this entry I don't feel 100%. It's why I wanted to tell this story though. After unloading (not that way) on my friends, they picked me up and helped me get back on track. Their support was something I had refused myself, and talking to them reminded me of the importance of our chosen families and how, together, we promise to protect one another. That sentiment is what drove this performance.

D26.png

A long time ago, on the plane of Amonkhet, lived two Aven sisters; Faye and Fayce. Born into the royal family of the plane, they initially grew up pampered and spoiled but just when they were teens they're parents were assassinated. Many of the natives despised royalty, jealous of their lavish lifestyle and feeling they spent more time on their laurels than ruling so many of them conspired against the crown. With their parents, both King and Queen, dead Faye quickly had to ascend to the throne despite being so young as she was the elder sister.

Faye became immersed into her new role as Queen as best she could but Fayce had different plans. She knew that civilians would always hold resentment against Faye no matter how fair she tried to rule. Fayce trained to become a fierce warrior, she wanted to become her sister's protector. She wanted to be by her sister's side guarding her. What happened to her parents would not happen again.

Only a few years later here are the sisters today.

First, we have Faye, current reigning Queen of Amonkhet.

Gupa5WH.png

Still only a young princess at heart but she tries her best to rule her plane like a queen. She walks onto the runway with a regal-like aura, walking down the runway slowly yet graciously. The first verse of "I'll Be By Your Side" plays as she walks.

"You were so sad, you were so blue
No need to tell, 'cause I know all of the story
Baby, my love is all so true
The morning comes, there is no need to worry"

Even with all the tragedy that has befallen her there is still an innocent-like quality to her. Her expression is very melancholic as she walks the runway. She's crestfallen still over her parent's death but she tries to remain strong for her people, and her sister.

Next, we have Fayce, the Queen's Protector.

hx4upsr.jpg

Her years of training have paid off. As the pre-chorus starts, declaring

"I'm with you all the time"

Fayce emerges onto the runway to the side of Faye, almost shadowing her. The chorus then kicks in.

"'Cause you know that
When you feel so lonely in your heart
I'll be by your side, tonight
I'll be by your side"

Fayce treads down the runway, cautiously looking around for any sign of danger. With her mace ready, NO ONE will dare approach her sister without her notice. Fayce gives off such intimidating body language the judges can't even look her in the eyes without feeling a sense of fear. They can feel how protective she is of her family.

"When the world is falling all apart
I'll be by your side, tonight
I'll be by your side"

Fayce's harshness softens as she looks at her sister. She will always be by her side. Either to protect or comfort her.

"The darkness will end, the dawn will shine
You are my love, I'm by your side tonight"

Both sisters walk to the far right and left of the runway together. Faye thinks back to the night after their parents passed. She never thought she would be here today. She briefly turns to look at her sibling. A flashback in her mind occurs. Her sister was there as she wept for their mother and father, as she became Queen and now she is still here. Looking after her. A warm smile crosses over Faye's face.

"Baby, you know we will be fine
Just don't let go, you have to hold on tight"

Fayce notices this flash of happiness from her sister. She hadn't seen her sister beaming like this since when they were children.

"I'm with you all the time"

Just at the last pre-chorus the sisters motion to each other with joyful pride. Then the last chorus strikes.

"'Cause you know that
When you feel so lonely in your heart
I'll be by your side, tonight
I'll be by your side
When the world is falling all apart
I'll be by your side, tonight
I'll be by your side"

Faye and Fayce pose beside each other facing the judges at the front of the runway one last time. Faye has not a trace of sadness in her expression anymore. She looks jubilant. She looks like a true Queen.

Fayce exultantly stands proud. Not just of her sister but of herself too. She raises her mace in rapt. Gripped by the overwhelming feeling of pride. She knows her training has paid off. She not only is strong enough to protect her sister but strong enough to protect herself too.

The last few lines of the song play as the sisters walk back through the main runway and then off of it. They hold hands with one arm with their other hand raised in the air making a fist triumphantly like a victory lap.

Even with all that has befallen them, they have stayed strong together, protecting one another. They persevered in life and will continue to do so, the best they can.

D26.png

After their soaring performance, Faye and Fayce dress down to some simple $750 bathrobes to give an interview to local reporter Camile Toe for her new hit show:

"Hello everyone, I'm very emotional right now..." *Camile wipes away a tear from her already sad face* "...but also here to interview the lovely ladies: Faye Shull and Fayce Fock!"

*camera pans over to the sisters, both in coordinated bathrobes as they are relaxing after their performance*

OKFeM9q.png

"So Faye, tell me as much as you can about the performance and story you have done with Fayce. I wanna know EVERYTHING!" *Camile says, waiting with bathed breath*

"This story reflects my life to some degree but I also wanted it to feel appropriate for the challenge since it's transferring our styles by giving drag makeovers to a judge. A tale of two sisters growing strong together but also individually felt right to me.

My character as Faye was because in life I often try to take on too many responsibilities. The same way that Faye tries to rule as a fair Queen correlates to how I try to be fair and make decisions that are best for everyone.

Citrus as Fayce is a bit more complex. Fayce trains to be the best protector for Faye she can possibly be. This reflects how Citrus, as head judge, tries to be the best judge he can for the contestants in his game. Fayce's training is also a nod to Citrus' weekly jogging.

The song I used; "I'll Be By Your Side" by Sally Shapiro is a melancholic yet uplifting sync-pop song about how even when someone is feeling done, or is in urgent need, you'll be by their side. This song has always been a favourite of mine but it works so well here. The idea for the performance is that this is sung from Fayce's perspective. Fayce may be the younger sister but she's the stronger one emotionally between the two so this song is about her comforting her sister at her lowest moments.

I chose the fictional plain of Amonkhet as the setting because Avens are native to it. I also felt it tied into the looks as well. Amonket locals are mostly warriors who wear Egyptian-like clothing. That influence can especially be seen in Fayce's look.

Speaking of Fayce's look. The looks in general are meant to contrast each other as they reflect each character yet still interrelate. Take their faces for instance:"

hecDU6C.png   v1SQCZN.png

"Fayce looks more intimidating and imposing. Her bird-like features on the face are prominent from the nose down. Faye however looks softer and almost subdued. She is still doleful from her parent's death after all. Her bird-like features on the face are from the nose up. Both sisters have short length hair to further emphasize how striking their faces are as well. All of what I have said was done so their faces have a subtle juxtaposition.

pu6dSWf.png   68kYTAZ.png

The dresses are distinct yet harmonize as well. Both have that feather-like texture to them that helps further define them as Avens but Fayce's dress is obviously catered for battle while Faye's looks like a bird's nest. Symbolizing her stay at home role as Queen but I also felt that it symbolized how since she is still grieving her parent's death she hasn't left the nest, metaphorically speaking.

The rest of the elements in each of their looks only correspond to their look individually but keep the bird motif. Although I do want to point out that Fayce's headpiece and mace evoke Hawkgirl. That was actually an unintentional reference on my part but cute nonetheless."

*Camile is taken aback by the detailed description but then quickly recomposes herself*

"So I have to ask... why are you bird women exactly? Like, what made you go in that direction?"

"Well it's actually another element that ties into the story. The bird is generally thought to symbolize freedom, they can walk on the earth and swim in the sea as humans do but they also have the ability to soar into the sky. These characters I created are trying to free themselves from the grief of losing their parents, so having them as Avens is a representation of that aspect."

*Camile nods but also starts getting flashbacks to Gaga's interviews for ARTPOP*

*Camile then turns to Fayce* "I know in my small town this would be a very... out there concept to grasp. When Faye pitched her story idea to you, how did you feel?"

"At first, I was put off by the prosthetic makeup because I've always been a fan of natural looks. However, my sister and I recently discovered that bird noses make it even easier to eat ass! I even got one for Chanel as a gift. Plus, I was really excited by Faye turning to her fantastical side, because I had seen how good the Magic cards were last week and I was happy to see her embracing that part of her character."

"I got to see the performance on the main stage. You two were very in character. What was the experience like?"

*Faye speaks first* "I loved it. For a few of my entries now I have told stories on the runway. Even for Episode 4's runway theme which I disliked I still look back fondly at the story I told for it. I found it easy to embody this particular character since she has traits like me. *Faye lets out a little laugh*

*Fayce then speaks up* "I was surprised by how much I became immersed in the character. I kept thinking to myself "Wouldn't Cher cut a bitch if they misgendered Chaz?" so I channeled that.

*Camile nervously laughs, flailing while doing so and accidentally brushing off Faye's bathrobe*

*Fayce quickly grabs her mace and jumps to Faye's side. Now in front of Camile with her wepaon ready*

"STAY AWAY FROM MY SISTER!"

*Camile looks into the camera, sweating buckets uncomfortably*

"W-w-well g-guys, this has b-been Camile Toe. S-s-signing out and p-p-probably dying. BYE."

giphy.gif

Better luck next time Camile. Overall though, I feel that I created a story that works for the challenge but is still distinctly my own story as well. The makeover was me transferring my general persona onto Citrus but this runway/performance showcased my storytelling, for both me and him, as Faye Shull and Fayce Fock.

I need to thank Citrus for putting up with being spammed by me throughout working on the entry and being very helpful during the process. I ended up really putting my heart and soul into this so I practically bombarded him with updates anytime I got an idea or made progress.

Lastly though, thank you for reading! I hope I explained everything well enough.

On the runway, Faye and Fayce are giving you a preview of what you'll get at the Faye Shull Day Spa.

74Xaiem.jpg

First we have Faye, the Naughty Nurse. You could use a good Faye Shull baby and I'm known to give quite the good one. I'm not just known for those though. I'm an orthopedic nurse, I care for patients that are experiencing musculoskeletal problems. Of course, one night with me at the spa and I'll leave an impact on a person’s mobility.

flM1hIN.jpg

Then we have Fayce, the Slutty Esthetician. She's here for all your various cosmetic procedures. Need blackhead extractions or exfoliating treatments (Carbon's favourite)? Maybe you want one of her specialty treatments (Gee, I wonder what that could be? *looks at name*). Fayce always makes sure to handle her patients with care so check in now to get the appointment your body deserves.

tD2u0Qd.png

It’s been years since we were at the peak of our fame. People say that we are over and you know, words can cut deep. People say that we are over the hill but I don’t think so – we are queens. And queens rule.

Attending a viewing party for the ninth series of ATRL’s Drag Race, both Carbon and I realise that we’re wheezing. The crowd are flocking to the new girls with soft waves in their hair and paying us nothing but dust and the odd dollar that floats from the other side of the club. It just isn’t enough, and we have had enough. I sit my sister down and we have a heart to heart; this just isn’t working anymore and something has got to change before the industry does, and when the industry changes, we are done for.

People say that we are over – I don’t think we’re over.

I think we’re just getting started.

It’s time to change, we figure. Taking to the stage in large outfits, we wear big hair and big dresses. We decide to change things up a little in an attempt to appeal to the mass market – white gays. The beat of the songs begins to kick in and we move our bodies to the rhythm; a white light flashes in time with the song. Our movements become like those of a stop motion film. Taking off the large wigs, we reveal hair with a gentle wave. Slipping out of our dresses, we wear tight dresses that are plain, basic and simple.

Losing who we are, we become what we see – the crowd likes it.

I DON’T CARE IF YOU DON’T LIKE MY HAIR

BECAUSE I KNOW IT’S AMAZING

AND I DON’T GIVE A DAMN IF YOU DON’T LIKE MY TAN

BECAUSE I KNOW IT’S AMAZING

AND I DON’T GIVE TWO HOOTS IF YOU DON’T LIKE MY BOOTS

BECAUSE I KNOW THEY’RE AMAZING

AND I DON’T GIVE A **** IF YOU DON’T LIKE MY ****

BECAUSE I KNOW THEY’RE AMAZING

Moving slowly around the stage, our poses change with each line. Recreating famous poses from fashion magazines, the white light draws the attention of the audience and slowly but surely, we have a crowd of our own.

UH, AMAZING

UH UH, AMAZING

UH, AMAZING

UH, UH AMAZING

We march front and centre. Carbon and I face each other, our hands moving over our extended limbs. We point at one another, our actions synchronised as if we are looking in the mirror. Pointing at Carbon’s face, then her body and dress, her shoes and hair and legs – I look at it all in admiration. It’s amazing and the crowd think so too; they dance and cheer at our newfound personas and selves.

UH, AMAZING

UH UH, AMAZING

UH, AMAZING

UH UH, AMAZING

We twirl around, lip syncing the words of the song as we strut down the runway before turning on our heels and heading away. The light flashes from white to black before everything becomes enveloped in darkness and silence as the song comes to a halt.

In the darkness, dressing tables are wheeled onto the stage with chairs.

We go deeper, changing our entire aesthetics. Carbon takes a step further than I, changing her name to Khidnee in an attempt to rebrand her drag persona entirely. All of a sudden, we fit in with the crowd. Becoming mainstream, we are like the queens who are fan favourites and are constantly being booked because they are accessible and generic – there is nothing to hate.

I RULE THE WORLD, I-I RULE THE WORLD

WHEN I RULE WORLD

I-I RULE THE WORLD

I RULE THE WORLD, I-I RULE THE WORLD

WHEN I RULE WORLD

I-I RULE THE WORLD

During the intro of the song, we come on stage and sit at the dressing tables. Miming the words, our reflections are all that the audience can see. We apply make up whilst singing, making sure we maintain our family resemblance. Finally, we pick up the small silver tiaras, placing them on top of our heads before rising, turning around dramatically to face the audience.

WHEN I RULE THE WORLD, THEN I'M GONNA MAKE YOU SWEAT

DOG COLLAR 'ROUND YOUR NECK, ON YOUR KNEES AND SCRUB THE DECK

Kicking our right legs forward with pointed toes and flexed calf muscles, we pivot in a revolving whirl of sharp precision and accurate grace. This is the new us – we are the queens we see. Our entities advance forwards with clarity and control.

OH THERE'S A SPOT OVER THERE SO I'LL DRAG YOU BY THE HAIR

SO SCRUB IT, RUB IT, WHIP IT, DRY IT, 'TIL I TELL YOU TO STOP

Our movements flow with a dazzling grace that takes away the breath of every person in the audience. It’s almost like our souls are being caged as the song plays, but our hearts and minds are given the security of knowing our future is certain. This is the drag little white gays live for, and this rebranding is what we needed to stay relevant, and it is what we needed to keep Colleen and Khidnee alive.

WHEN I'M ON THE THRONE, IT'S A TOTAL FREAK ZONE

YOU CAN CALL ME MOMMY AND I'LL THROW A DOG A BONE

We shake our hips, running our hands over our bodies. The audience screams as they fall in love with our new selves, throwing dollars onto the stage as we continue to nail the tight choreography, making us look artificial.

BETTER BITE ON THAT BONE, OR YOU'RE NEVER GOING HOME

SO BITE IT, BREAK IT, HIT IT, LICK IT, 'TIL I TELL YOU TO STOP

Our arms punch in time with each lyric, before they fly up and we death drop to the ground. Our legs kick up and move slowly with the almost dreamlike vocals. Our lips never fail to miss a word as we lip sync.

WHEN I... (WHEN I RULE THE WORLD, I, I RULE THE WORLD)

RULE THE WORLD... (WHEN I RULE THE WORLD, I, I RULE THE WORLD)

WHEN I... (WHEN I RULE THE WORLD, I, I RULE THE WORLD)

RULE THE WORLD,(WHEN I RULE THE WORLD, I, I RULE THE WORLD) THE WORLD, THE WORLD

We roll, moving from our backs to our fronts as we lay in front of each other. Our heads are in our palms and our legs kick up and sway like we are girls at a sleepover who are gossiping.

WHEN I RULE THE WORLD, THEN YOU'RE THE LITTLE GIRL

YOU SHOULD DO AS I SAY CAUSE THINGS ARE GONNA BE MY WAY

I RULE THE WORLD, SO GET DOWN ON YOUR KNEES

BETTER DO AS I PLEASE, UNTIL I TELL YOU TO STOP

Rising to our feet, we take the crowns in our hands, grinning as we mime the lyrics of the song. We have the world as our new selves – the success and the money, the fame and the fortune. The song ends and we both tilt our heads in time with one another before the lights turn off and our performance ends.

Or so they think.

Quickly changing backstage, we change into big hair and big dresses. The hair is a larger version of the wig with the gentle wave, whilst the dress is another tight dress that accentuates our curves and body, but it has a hidden twist. We come on stage, holding the silver tiaras, looking at the audience as the final song begins to play.

This isn’t us – we are Colleen and Khidnee but we aren’t here to appeal for trashy white gays, we are here for ourselves. For the art and the experience, for the love and the hate. We realise the errors of our ways, learning that being ourselves is all that matters. We are sisters by chance and now, we ourselves by choice. We are Colleen and Khidnee and that isn’t going to change for the world.

LOVE, LOVE IS LIKE A STUBBORN YOUTH

THAT YOU'D RATHER JUST DENY

I'M WALKING ON A BROKEN ROOF

WHILE I'M LOOKING AT THE SKY

Front and centre again, we look at the audience with mascara dripping down our cheeks. We both break the silver tiaras, throwing the pieces to the ground. We parade around the stage, standing on the pieces without a care in the world. That just wasn’t us and it never will be us – we are who we are.

IT'S ALL FALSE LOVE AND AFFECTION

YOU DON'T WANT ME, YOU JUST LIKE THE ATTENTION

YES, IT'S ALL FALSE LOVE AND AFFECTION

YOU DON'T LIKE ME, YOU JUST WANT THE ATTENTION

We lift up the large wigs to reveal our signature styles – long hair slicked back behind our ears. Unapologetically ourselves, we throw the wigs aside and rip off the tight dresses. Khidnee reveals her Envy of the Seven Deadly Sins look, the snakes curling around her thighs and calves. Colleen’s reveals the bodice and corset inspired by St. Patrick’s Day.

I'M NOT YOUR TOY

AND THIS ISN'T ANOTHER GIRL MEETS BOY

I’M NOT YOUR TOY

AND THIS ISN’T ANOTHER GIRL MEETS BOY

We do our own thing. I put my heart and soul into the lyrics of the song and Khidnee puts on her own performance. We are serving ourselves, straight up and raw. We reclaim ourselves and the audience like it as we stomp around, showing the white gays that we are not their toy. They enjoy our show and we love it too. The envy of the other queens; they are jealous of the growth we have shown. I bet they wish they were us. We are ourselves and we love it, but we are also sisters and queens. And you know, sisters and queens rule.

KHIDNEE

8GIIdYr.jpg

My sister Khidnee and I were inspired by our own creativity this week and so decided to wear outfits which were bright and unique. The family resemblance is noticeable -- we both have our mother Liva's pastel hair, our father Stomark's tall and beautiful runway ready frame; elements of my outfit are also visible in Khidnee's own look. We decided to each draw our own look to show that talent also runs in the family. We grace the stage together, each serving the judges our outfits. Strutting up and down, we smile at each other as we split and head for the left and right sides of the stage. Khidnee does a cute wave whilst I flip my hair over my shoulder, rolling my eyes. We are sisters, not twins, after all. We meet back at the centre of the runway, giving one last grin to the judges before pacing with elegance to the stage's exit.

Ladies, gentlemen and whatever Chanel is, please welcome to the stage, the newest member of the House of Gates… FOULA FENCE!

u60EAar.png

Fd6onlT.png

Foula had previously gone by the alias Aciid Rose and was a high drag fashion queen before she had a severe brain aneurysm and joined the House of Gates with Noah Fence’s drag daughter, Nun Taykin. Noah took the fallen angle Foula under her wing and taught her the House of Gates style of drag. After the brain aneurysm Aciid's face was disfigured so she fits in perfectly with the House of Gates.

The new Aciid, Foula, is a musician just like Noah, and plays a mean, mean, m e a n triangle. Noah and Foula do musical performances together on occasion!

Foula is also an artist like Noah, except instead of doing sickening, sleek graphic design like Aciid, she does cartooning! She sells her cartoons at all her shows. Here’s a preview.

Three fun facts about Foula is that she has webbed toes, she’s been fisted by a member of her immediate family, and that she’s transracial to fit in with the Asian-dominated House of Gates.

---------

I sit backstage with my drag sister, Foula Fence, preparing myself to go on for our number. It’s our debut performance together and expectations are high. I feel my feet quiver in my ugly dollar store boots. I know that this is a make-or-break performance, and that if it goes badly, it could mean the end of the House of Gates. Foula and I need to give a performance that will blow our audience away.

The stage lights come up. Foula and I stride on stage confidently, knowing they can deliver.

When I was 17, I thought the moon was a planet.

NOAH: I LOVE THAT COLOR, IT’S SUCH A HAPPY, BEAUTIFUL, RICH…

Foula holds up a disgusting, cheap green and blue blouse as I mouth of words of the beginning of the dialogue.

FOULA: IT ALMOST LOOKS LIKE WHAT THE EARTH LOOKS LIKE WHEN YOU’RE A BAZILLION MILES AWAY ON THE PLANET MOON.

NOAH: YES! FROM THE PLANET MOON.

FOULA: ISN’T THE MOON A STAR?

Foula tilts her head to the side, raising her eyebrows in curiosity and confusion. I raise my chest, ready to educate my sister.

NOAH: NO, THE MOON IS A PLANET, DARLING.

FOULA: THE SUN IS A STAR. IS THE MOON REALLY A PLANET?

NOAH: THE MOON IS A PLANET, HONEY.

My face turns stern, stubborn and serious as Foula stares me straight in the eye, intensity rising.

FOULA: DON’T LOOK AT ME LIKE THAT! THE SUN IS A STAR!

NOAH: IT’S A PLANET!

FOULA: IS THE SUN NOT A STAR?

NOAH: I DON’T KNOW WHAT THE SUN IS. WE DON’T KNOW WHAT THE SUN IS.

I bury my lifeless, gelid face in my cold, peeling woman hands, unsure of what exactly the sun is.

FOULA: THE MOON IS NOT A PLANET. I KNEW IT, I KNEW IT! YOU WERE TRYING TO TAKE ME DOWN THAT ROAD! THE MOON IS NOT A PLANET!

Foula and I explode with frustration as the argument reaches a high. Foula’s arms slam down in an angry fit.

NOAH: EXCUSE ME, CHUNKY. IF YOU’RE LISTENING TO ME, YOU HAVE TO GOOGLE THE MOON, OKAY?

I run to an audience member in the front row, referring to them as “Chunky” and requesting that they google the moon. My pointed finger jabs into the audience member’s chest like a flaccid dagger, or maybe a toothbrush.

FOULA: SOMEONE IS GOOGLING RIGHT NOW.

NOAH: THE MOON IS SUCH A PLANET, I CAN’T EVEN STAND IT.

Foula and I turn away from each other and pace in rage.

FOULA: THE MOON IS NOT A PLANET!

NOAH: WHAT ELSE IS IT IF IT’S NOT A PLANET?

FOULA: I BELIEVE IT’S A STAR, OR… SOMETHING!

NOAH: IT’S A MOON, IT’S A MOON.

My face spasms with indignation. Foula and I are giving the audience everything they need.

FOULA: DIDN’T YOU DO THAT THING IN GRADE SCHOOL WHERE YOU HAD TO NAME THE PLANETS AND THERE WAS URANUS AND SATURN AND THE ONE WITH THE RINGS, AND THE PSGEWRTKLJ, AND THE EARTH… THE MOON IS NEVER IN THERE, DUDE! IT’S NOT A PLANET! ALRIGHT, HERE, LOOK, HERE’S KEY LIME.

Foula raise her hand above her head and counts each planet on her bony man fingers.

FOULA: I FEEL LIKE SOMETIMES, THOUGH I AM EDUCATED, I AM EXPOSED DURING THE SHOW THAT THIS BLONDE OF MINE COULD BE REAL...

NOAH: I DON’T KNOW WHAT IT IS. IS IT A BASEBALL? WHAT IS IT, CHEESE?

I throw up my arms, bones protruding, as I feel completely lost, stranded in the intersection of astrology, athletics and liederkranz.

 FOULA: THE MOON IS WHAT?

NOAH: A SATELLITE? A NATURAL SATELLITE. BUT THINGS LIVE ON IT!

FOULA: THE MOON IS A NATURAL SATELLITE? WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?

NOAH: IT MEANS IT’S A PLANET.

FOULA: IS THAT WHAT GOOGLE SAYS? NO, I DON’T LIKE THAT AT ALL…

Foula and I discover the moon is really a natural satellite, and our eyes momentarily light up before we again devolve into the emotional trauma of moon classification.

Suddenly, the sound of music begins, and soon everyone can hear Frank Sinatra’s masculine voice over a disco club track.

When Dame Rose was 17, this song had just come out.

FLY ME TO THE MOON AND LET ME PLAY AMONG THE STARS

LET ME SEE WHAT SPRING IS LIKE ON JUPITER AND MARS

Foula and I freeze mid-argument and begin to lip sync to the song, perfectly mouthing every word. We talk towards each other and grab each other’s hands, spinning each other around like a gay washing machine.

FLY ME TO THE (MOON!) AND LET ME PLAY AMONG THE (STAR!)

LET ME SEE WHAT SPRING IS LIKE ON (URANUS AND SATURN AND THE ONE WITH THE RINGS AND THE NFJFNEIDN AND THE EARTH)

Foula lets go of my hands, spinning and falling into a death drop that shakes the entire building since she's morbidly obese and has a 45+ BMI. I immediately strike a power bitch pose, arm extended forward and pointing firmly at the audience. I keep my feet planted with strength but move my arms and head, fiercely hitting every position. Once Foula gets up and recovers she vogues and does the gay yo-yo hands, bouncing around me.

IN OTHER WORDS, HOLD MY HAND

IN OTHER WORDS, BABY KISS ME

Foula and I drop to our knees and slowly crawl around each other like two lionesses eyeing out their prey, shaking with intensity and emotion.

FILL MY HEART WITH SONG AND LET ME SING FOREVER MORE (BUT THINGS LIVE ON IT!)

YOU ARE ALL I LONG FOR, ALL I WORSHIP AND ADORE (CHUNKY!)

I roll over onto my back and throw one leg above my head in a mini death drop. Foula extends her arm forward and follows it as if it’s guiding her a la Purse First. She then stops in her tracks, stroking her fingers against her beat face. There’s a campy facial expression with each insert from the spoken word.

IN OTHER WORDS, HOLD MY HAND

IN OTHER WORDS, BABY KISS ME

Foula and I stand up and both hold our places, directing the first line to the audience, then turning to each other for the second line. I cut myself on a rusty nail that was sticking out on stage and I start to bleed, but I know that I must persevere in order to give the audience the show they came for. That's just how dedicated I am to my craft.

FLY ME TO THE MOON AND LET ME PLAY AMONG THE STARS

LET ME SEE WHAT SPRING IS LIKE ON JUPITER AND MARS

Foula and I both start to serve fierce voguing choreography on opposite sides of the stage, which is the length of a football field and at least fifty feet above the audience’s seats. We’re looking good and feeling gay, arms moving at 100 centimeters per millisecond.

IN OTHER WORDS, HOLD MY HAND

IN OTHER WORDS, BABY KISS ME

Foula and I drop the dancing and sensually walk towards each other. We stroke our hands on each other’s face, close enough to feel our meaty tucks against each other.

[BREAK]

(MOON)

BABY KISS ME (STAR)

(URANUS AND SATURN AND THE ONE WITH THE RINGS AND THE NFJFNEIDN AND THE EARTH)

Foula and I drop to the ground and roll on top of each, basically f*cking. With each spoken word line, whoever’s on top at the moment shoots up and mouths it before dropping back down for our makeout/dryhump sesh.

IN OTHER WORDS, HOLD MY HAND

IN OTHER WORDS, BABY KISS ME

Foula and I shoot up and march down to the front of the stage with power, grasping each other’s hands with fingers interlocked. At the end of the stage, we raise our arms as though we had won a wrestling match.

FILL MY HEART WITH SONG AND LET ME SING FOREVER MORE

YOU ARE ALL I LONG FOR, ALL I WORSHIP AND ADORE

Foula and I let go and quickly run into the audience and grab the first non-obese gay man we can find. (Every time we do this number Foula always chooses a white guy and I’m too awkward to call her out on it but I think she’s a no rice no spice kinda girl)

IN OTHER WORDS, PLEASE BE TRUE

IN OTHER WORDS, I LOVE YOU

I LOVE YOU

We mouth the words directly to our audience partners after bringing them center stage, and on the final “I love you” we drop to one knee and propose with a ring that looks like the moon. They always say yes.~

House of Gates came to slay! Foula (right) and I (left) are giving you matching fence-inspired couture by Gareth Pugh. It literally looks like we're wearing fences so we're giving you realness. The outfits are paired off with avant-garde, geometric makeup and origami-esque headpieces made up of three-dimensional shapes. We're looking cool and also ****ing insane, just how we like it.
