Citrus Posted July 30, 2017 Author Posted July 30, 2017 @True Skarlet, her entry Quote Card cover: Inside the card: Look: I'm giving you NYC New Year's glamour with my look and holiday card. Beauty, class, and elegance, lie within the soul so Faye Shull would end the year in opulent style. Imagine Faye hosting her own New Year's party for her good sisters in a penthouse in NYC with a killer view of the city. Champagne would be flowing, great music would be playing and Chanel would be drunk off her mind. The cover of my card really embodies the type of New Year's party I have talked about but the inside of the card is giving a little bit more. "Here's to a new year, a new Faye Shull " A nice little wink to how I do something different every time (Have i said this every entry now? ) and the New Year's tradition of kissing. The Times Square Ball is also present since I can't mention New Year's and NYC and not have a shout out to it. Here's to the new year though, where money, power and romance are waiting for us all.

Citrus Posted July 30, 2017 Author Posted July 30, 2017 @Rhisiart, her entry Quote For this week's challenge, I obviously felt immense pressure considering what happened last week. But I had a lot of fun with creating my outfit. Given the theme of Valentine's Day, I wanted to go very obvious: hearts, bows, roses, and Cupid. What I ended up giving was Mariah Carey in God of War/Cupid the Warrior Princess, but if they fell in a pool of roses and a couple of dead doves. I have the biggest and heaviest wig I could find, shoved as many roses, ribbons, and hearts I could fit in it, and adorned with one of those Roman/Greek tiaras for a halo. I have on a tight silk top and long pink, rose-laced gloves and stockings. The bow I have on my back is a literal bow I'd use to shoot my arrows. It's smaller in the picture due to the size of my paper, but the bow is MASSIVE. I also have a long train "dress" of red feathers to give me more shape, as well as my golden hooker Hercules boots. Overall, this is an amalgamation of all of my looks thus far and the anime-aesthetic I feel I've started to hone in on, and I'm very proud of it. I constructed my own card with paper and crap. I wanted to do more, but in the time constrains I was under, this was the best I could do and I'm happy with the final product. I felt as Cupid, a "shoot your shot" joke was obvious, as well as a "drawing" pun with my brand. The two extra pictures were a lot of fun to make to give more personality to my character and look. I imagined I was doing a photoshoot for my card. I also made those little Valentine's candies on the back and added a few more jokes. It's corny and Hallmark-esque (except not PG), just like a regular greeting card is supposed to be. I really hope you all enjoy my entry! Happy Valentine's Day!
