@DripDrip The patriotic heels, work a bit Melania. The bows on the shoes are ugly as ****, but they don’t distract too much. I  love the bag because it’s ugly in that gross, sweaty plastic-y way that cheap beach bags are. The long flowing erotic fan art Ariel hair behind your back is gorg, and makes what would otherwise be a basic lace bra with pearl beading into something more stunning. It may be Disney inspired, but it doesn’t feel cheap or overtly gaudy. Your summer look is a complete departure from the other, which is awesome. You took the D&G obsession with foliage in a different direction, and it’s GORGEOUS. The architecture of the dress with the construction of the shoe, hair, and headpiece, whew. The way the messy braid collaborates with the messy headpiece. Stunning.

I wish I had worded better, because I don't want y'all thinking you need Photoshop to do well! If I find a better way to articulate it I will, it just seemed more discombobulated than usual.

Jsjs i didn't think you were saying it was ugly. I did kinda rush to put something together, last minute. Drip kindly lended me a hand in putting the pictures together. So overall I see what you mean. :heart2:

@talent My biggest issue with your bikini is 1) that the cover up is Kohl’s couture, and the deconstructed shoe doesn’t work as well as I’d hoped. PLUS, your bra isn’t completely covered in flowers. I know it’s pedantic, but you need full flower tiddies, sorry! Your summer look is Kandy Ho’s spring dress in black with an elastic skirt and some foliage. Now, the concept is better than execution so I give you points for making a relatively overdone style (the tree top) into something more beautiful. The heel is gorgeous, as well. The skirt is a no, though. Especially with the roots of the top, a straight cutoff like that is too disruptive.

@Lémur As I’m sure you know, your bikini is amazing. I love a concept, and you gave us one. If you’re gonna turn away from beauty, then fully embrace the coolness of the ugly. I appreciate your attempt at the second look, and it was a cute gimmick that distracts from an otherwise woefully unimpressive dress. The hair is cute too. Like Chanel said, if you were gonna do a reveal, the dress should have been even more intense. Something almost completely sublimated in flowers, with some vine reveal in the wig or something. But yeah, try to hit the fashion challenges head on instead of skirting around like you did here. It worked this time because of the reveal, but I’m not sure it would again.

Thanks sis, I was really desperate because I knew nothing about Dolche and Havana and didn't know how to make it on brand d (and my lack of fashion knowledge but shh)

@PhreshDiamond I’m not gonna tug you too hard because I know you’re learning the words to the song right now. But this bikini is basic plus size girl on Facebook with amateur modeling shots on her full size bed. It’s just, not cute. The heels are a good start, I’ll give you that. They’re sleek and have the cartoony vibe but not in an overwhelming sense. Starting from those, we could turn the Minnie Mouse dress into a plain navy and polka dot cover up shawl, and the bikini underneath could’ve been a 1950s style high waisted one piece (like this) and a cream or peach bra (colors like this or this). I’m not gonna drag the summer look because I think you realize what’s wrong with it (it looks off the rack, little element of customizability, the accessories don’t match because the dress is so simple), so lemme just tell you good luck and I can’t wait to see the lip sync.

It's okay to not know them, just do some google searches. You don't need in depth knowledge of fashion houses to be inspired by their motifs.

they're WIDE LEGGED PANTS!!!!!!!!!!!

@genetic fail The bikini look is very Kim Kardashian, and the jewelry, as nice a touch as it is, doesn’t make up for the relatively basic set. It’s not bad, but the amount of jewels with the unfortunately same tone fabric swimsuit makes it look too monochrome without any contrast. I do love the heels and hair on their own, though. Your summer look suffers the same as Phresh’s, in that I could order all of the pieces from AliExpress. It’s cute for a girl at the pier in an indie movie, but it’s not far enough. That being said, imma stop tugging your wig and let you get back to the lip sync. I wish you the best of luck sis!

I mean I did that and mostly what I got was flowers and colours, I wasn't trying to make an excuse for myself I was just explaining part of why that look was not it

@Buddy! That cover up alone is gorgeous, serving rich Saudi Arabian woman in her abaya. The slutty diamond panty and scale heels with the black pony tie and draping, ugh, gorgeous. The gold overlay on all of it is a bit much, but you smartly offset it with a good amount of black. Your summer look is a look like Faye’s (if not as impressive, tho you still won). I love that you carried the black over and made Chanel’s favorite color applicable to summertime. The sheer fabric and layered cut makes it look breezy and pairs really well with the black/green/white bag, and the back draping is cute. Lots of contrasting elements paired smartly.

Whew thank you for the critiques my summer look was a last minute change up too

@TheOnlyOne The Shea Coulee wig is cute, and it definitely fits the colors you’ve got going on here. The bottoms are a little Alexis Michelle (older woman looking stylish), but those aren’t my main issue. With iridescence, I think it’s hard to pair things that are not exactly the same, and that’s the issue I have with the bra top and bottom. They have different sparkles and shines that make them clash just too much to make it look like a cohesive, expensive look, leaving it rather garish. The crown is beautiful, though, and I love the opal-esque forehead jewel. I don’t get the anger over you not having a lot of work put in, because I love the couture look. It’s stunning, and the hair is cute, as well. Looking like a hanging basket of flowers on my balconey tbh. Of course, it would’ve been nice to see heels, even if we technically wouldn’t have seen them on the runway. I like the swimsuit reveal, though it’s a little hard to see the cut of it since it’s cropped so close. Also would’ve liked a simpler necklace (maybe a straight choker with a white flower centerpiece). But good work overall.

@EJQL8 I kinda live for this trashy bikini, looking like a swimsuit I’d see at a Juggalo campground. It fits your drag character and I’m here for it. Give me shoes though, please. The summer look is cute enough, though the black architectural piece is too much (not to mention too familiar). The crown and jewelry are great, and the shorts/bra pair so nicely with the shoes that all you needed was some type of black accent that wasn’t an exoskeleton to really sell this.

@Rhisiart I think you took the swimsuit part too literally. It’s well fitted and the hair is cute, and you went all out with accessories. So, like, I didn’t give you a bad score for it. But it just doesn’t measure up alongside the other stuff. The summery couture is less D&G and more Miss Frizzle goes to the beach with the hot student teacher. The heels are also a no, straps with a long dress swallow up what little leg you are showing. Love the makeup and crab sunglasses (those are literally so so cute, pls make them in real life). This all worked because your sense of style is very cartoony and sunny, so, in the future, focus on refining your vibrant, bubbly style with a sleeker fashion edge. Try to find that Manila balance between camp and glamour.

Thank you! I'm not a fashionista by any means, and I think I've been trying to keep my outfits on the simpler side so I could draw something I know I could accomplish. I think the general consensus for not only me but all of us is to really be bold and go there, and I'll apply these critiques and try to do so in the future. While I plan on continuing to draw my looks, I think I'll start looking for photos online to help show off shoes and other things I can't really get across in paper and words.
