I don't think hiding behind "trolling" makes much of a difference here. If it were merely delivered as a joke like "Watch out Beyoncé, Sabrina is coming for your job" then that's one thing, but it wasn't like that. The word "embarrassing" was used here, and much more snide comments that seemed to diminish Beyoncé based on this stat.

Not to mention, it wasn't the Hive who started calling Sabrina a "z lister". That phrase was used three times to describe Sabrina on the first page, none of them by anyone in the Hive.

If anything your anger should be at least shared for those who either made this thread with an intention for messiness, or who are using Sabrina only for the purpose of getting the Hive angry, which naturally results in shade in return and unfairly at Sabrina who is not really involved in this.

 

Overall, I do agree with you. I don't like ***-for-tat-ism, and I think we can give good rebuttals without even bringing anyone else down, but at the same time, I think it's unfair to admonish only the people reacting badly to what was been a clear attempt to get the Hive mad, or at least to diminish Beyoncé.

Loved seeing Sabrina’s genuine growth as an artist these past few years. While she isn’t the biggest pop star in the world, she slowly been gaining new fans post Disney. Hoping this sets up her next era to be big with her first top 20 hit.

Shouldn’t Renny's daily numbers be closer to the literally fractions of her actual peers whom debuted alongside her 26 years ago?

I think its a testament to the lasting power of Beyonce that, despite her dumb ***** antics of intentionally sabotaging her work commercially for the past 10 years, she's still held to the standard of upcoming and trendy popgirls. The only established popgirl she's pitted against is Taylor and even then Taylor is like 10 years her junior in the industry, by Bey's 17th year she was in her ST era and changing the game hard.

 

Only Taylor is above her at this point among the 21st century girls, she is THE bar. And to be a woman of color at that? Insane longevity! Lest we forget she had a global Top 10 smash just earlier this year and a #1 hit last year too so don't play on her too much, she just hates success!
