Sometimes having more information is not more useful if you don't actually understand what it means. 

 

Like yes it is cool now to see how many streams an album is getting every day and how such data can be used to determine sensitivity to promo, if a single is catching on, etc.

 

But that data becomes noise and meaningless if troglodytes of ATRL take this data and try to extrapolate incoherent ideas from it like somehow claiming Sabrina's album is bigger than Beyonce's because of a single day of streaming after a year-plus despite Beyonce's album having billions of more streams. 

 

Because TikTok and other ways we consume media now allow for songs to go semi-viral detached from the traditional album campaign, it is trolling when a song randomly picks up some streams and people go "hmm ALBUM B is higher than ALBUM C a year later on Spotify? GUESS THAT MEANS ALBUM B IS BIGGER AND HAS MORE LONGEVITY". Like no that's literally no longer what that automatically means anymore. It literally just and can only mean ALBUM B was consumed more than ALBUM C for that specific day on that platform, with that data on its own not having any other implications or meaning. 

 

Sabrina's album is not bigger than Beyonce's. It is not showing more longevity. More people don't know it or it's singles more than Renaissance. To think so is delusional and I say that as a fan of both.

Yes I am surprised by Sabrina latest album currently oustreaming Beyonce last album released in the same year despite the former not having nearly as much promo. I know that Renaissance is still bigger overall but it's important to stress that Sabrina never got Beyonce radio deals and playlist pushes and media attention so it is still an impressive feat all things considered.

She used to be a cute Ariana-inspired artist with Disneyfied bops (Almost Love, Sue Me, Pushing 20) and about two years or so ago linked up with Julia Michaels and basically now serves as a muse for Julia, with a lot of Julia's sound now being in Sabrina's music, for better or worse depending on how you like that sound. 

 

Songs like Nonsense though show she can still release Ariana-coded bops that fill the void Ariana's absence has left.

 

She's currently getting some new genuine and bandwagon fans because she's now opening up for Taylor on tour. 

 

Maybe so many Swifties now stanning Ariana's daughter can finally begin to heal the Swiftie-Arianator rift:

The singular act 1 is more instant and has a rich production on it so you should start with that.

 

Then you should go with emails and singular act 2. Her others records should be pretty ignored btw since she recorded them when she was like 13-17 and had no control or anything
