That one !!!!! Yes it was loud AF had the crowd bopping.

uff cut me deep and you don’t care about me

deserved to be singles yes

Apparently they wanted to release "You Don't Care About Me" as final single, but as she got pregnant again, it was cancelled.

Her two pregnancies made the whole era roll-out difficult. Dare was going to be the first single back in 2012 for an electronic dance album and then plans changed. I still think Dare would have been a huuuuuge hit back in 2012 for her.

The whole era deserves so much more tbh.

'Dare' deserved more than this if I may say so...

"Empire" was released in 2014 as the second single off Shakira's self-titled album, following "Can't Remember To Forget You" with Rihanna.

The song was a commercial failure for Shakira. Did it deserve more? Let's discuss.

A commercial failure? It's objectively a great song. The video could use some polishing. It sounded like nothing on the radio at the time. This was also a return to the English market since She Wolf so cut her some slack. Especially when it still went platinum and did will on streaming. It's far from a flop.

Never got into this song much but CRTFY and Dare deserved so much more

Dare did fine all things considered with it becoming an anthem for the world cup and having great streams. CRTFY definitely deserved to be bigger. The video i remember was an event and rih should've performed it live with her at least once.

I had already forgotten it. It's a very good song, but we already know that gringos don't like her music in English.

That's not true. They just don't vibe with Rockira is all

Idk it was one of them

lol out of the whole self titled era she had only like 1 good performance lol

Do we know as to why that was?

She should have definitely released you don't care about me.

She also had Cut Me Deep and Chasing Shadows that were standouts too. Still mad that this was originally meant to be a dance album and we got cheated out of a JLo, Gwen Stefani, Britney Spears, Iggy Azalea, Nicki Minaj collabs around this time. If she would've dropped them as singles she would've had the planet shift in orbit.

The ***** still owes us a dance album as far as I'm concerned. With the amount of time she's taking because she's dique inspired I'm not joking when I say that I want 2 volumes madre!?

It's crazy that she worked with RedOne, David Guetta, Calvin Harris, Dr Luke, Fernando Garibay, Afrojack, Max Martin, Tiesto, Benny Blanco, The Dream, Ester Dean, Skrillex and nothing leaked or came out of it like what in the actual ****

Wait, so Mad Love was supposed to be part of the 2012 scrapped album?

I remember they were going to release it around 2017 or so and there was suddenly a change and Shakira got replaced by Becky G. They said she didn't like the way she sounds on the track.

Damn, what a smash this would have been in 2012. Imagine Shakira going straight from Waka Waka, Loca and Rabiosa to come back just 1 year later with these two bangers. 2012 could have been such a year for her.
