Gen Z saved her by streaming like their lives depended on it! Probably it’s more that they realize how dumb it is to buy physical in 2023. Albums don’t cost that much 1
PurrKaty Posted September 16, 2023 Posted September 16, 2023 Where are the sophomore slump comments now? Amazing numbers and even outdoing SOUR’s debut
PrudenceHCharmed Posted September 20, 2023 Posted September 20, 2023 Not Beyoncé outselling both Olivia & Billie's first week sales despite coming off Lemonade & The Gift OT: 300K is a great numbers though. 1

Albums don’t cost that much Gen Z are needing to save their money for things like houses and college tuition. They have to watch what they spend. Unlike old people who buy clocks. Who say young people don’t understand personal finance?

OT: on topic though.. if Billie’s last opening was 240k, and if we’re talking celebrity she was a bigger name than Olivia, 300k sounds the realistic number for her since her fanbase grew since SOUR. (despite losing some audience & tiktok hype) i feel like the days of 400-500k up, will be very rare these days especially for female artists. if Adele couldn’t replicate her previous numbers, i think it’ll be a while since we’ll see a pop girlie making numbers like Taylor Swift.
Letemtalk Posted September 21, 2023 Posted September 21, 2023 Fantastic numbers, slightly more than her début too.
