Just a Gay on ATRL Posted September 9, 2023 Posted September 9, 2023 What did WAP debut with for comparison?
Hi-res Posted September 9, 2023 Posted September 9, 2023 nnn bad numbers I don’t know how she can turn this around at this point
Movimento Perpétuo Posted September 9, 2023 Posted September 9, 2023 Not good numbers for a not very good song

Seems like 2M budget going down the drain Let’s see the excuses, as BG was hyping this as her big comeback @punisher but I thought it was going to do better than LTISY? 2
Mr. Blue_Shirt Posted September 9, 2023 Posted September 9, 2023 Nooo this is supposed to be Megan's comeback launch. It's over

dabunique Posted September 9, 2023 Posted September 9, 2023 da week jus started lets see how it does, I have faith in a rebound shocking my girl had more streams in da US with PTTR than Bongos in total ww
Just a Gay on ATRL Posted September 9, 2023 Posted September 9, 2023 I feel like these numbers indicate a couple of things: 1) People just don’t like this song as much as WAP. 2) Cardi really messed up not taking advantage of WAP/Up in 2021 because the hype just isn’t the same anymore - people got tired of so many singles with no pay-off. 3) People are getting tired of overtly sexual songs?? I’m kind of over it lol. WAP slayed so hard in 2020 because it was considered shocking and really funny at the time - three years later these kinds of songs and lyrics just aren’t shocking/surprising like that anymore . Cardi/Megan lowkey became a victim of a trend they started themselves, lol. That being said I don’t mind a mindless fun sex bop and Bongos is fun! 1
dumbsparce Posted September 9, 2023 Posted September 9, 2023 (edited) Horrible debut but it might improve in the coming days. It's not as grating as WAP so who knows what's gonna happen. Ngl though, I'm glad that time aka the ultimate truth teller has been kinder to Nicki. Edited September 9, 2023 by dumbsparce 1

CristianGarcia Posted September 9, 2023 Posted September 9, 2023 (edited) Someone on Twitter said they should’ve named the song Bozos instead Edited September 9, 2023 by CristianGarcia 14
Just a Gay on ATRL Posted September 9, 2023 Posted September 9, 2023 Also people should mainly pay attention to the numbers here and not the positions which will mislead people, it is dealing with an Olivia Rodrigo album bomb in which all of Olivia’s songs are Top 15. For comparison, WAP would’ve debuted all the way down at #8 with its US debut numbers in this environment.
Dreajae Posted September 9, 2023 Posted September 9, 2023 Yall are better off waiting for day 2. Basically it's missing top 10 on U.s streaming due to Olivia. But you never know. The video is holding up well. 1 1
punisher Posted September 9, 2023 Posted September 9, 2023 This was such a terrible single choice omg 1
KiiKii_Muppisha Posted September 9, 2023 Posted September 9, 2023 For the love of GOD… please leave WAP where it’s at???? The song was ONLY popular because of controversy AND two opps clicking up. Dassit. Let’s be logical for ONCE! Isn't it obvious that when Nicki opps link they tend to do relatively well? Think about it… If Meg never had a spat with Onika, Cardi would NOT have featured her. Period. They used the end of the hate train to push that single! Mostly ALL Nicki haters love that song. Dangly thing in the back of my throat? BFFR 1

It's over The real travesty here…she also kinda wasted her comeback hype. But I get why she said yes to the collab (reaching a new audience + keeping her name out there until label issues resolved). Maybe Cardi should’ve added a third person on the song…a Latin artist that could do the hook. Damn.
