I do think she got too arrogant by thinking she can keep momentum dragging this long….

Like who waits almost 6 years to drop their SOPHOMORE album? :deadbanana2:

She's extremely over commerically. One era wonder

Her career will be remember not only for her huge success and massive debut era but also for one of the biggest mistakes an artist with such level of success has ever made.

Not releasing an album after WAP and Up is perhaps the biggest (and most stupid) mistake by any artist in recent years.

uh idk if she’s over commercially… she has A List name recognition in an era where that’s incredibly hard. If she ever wants the same commercial success she has with WAP and Bodak Yellow she’s gonna have to change her image. I think people are bored of her rapping about the same tired sh*t. She needs to change her whole persona and sound tbh. It’s gotten too predictable with her

the same numbers as last time i saw you despite the millions spent on the music video, top tier playlisting and radio deal :deadbanana:

Cardi has no one else to blame but herself. This should’ve been out no later than June, been in Spanish or at least more spanglish and her label had the right idea wanting a big Latin feature. If she wanted another moment with Meg, save her for a better song. You can’t follow up WAP with…this :toofunny2:

And how is she gonna do that? She doesn't have the talent nor the skill to switch it up. Cardi was a product launched to end Nicki and Nicki fought back and won the war. Cardi is over, she will never have hits like she did in 2018 and 2020-2021 again

Oh…. That’s sad

I don't know why it's so hard for Cardi to put out a banger...

She is one of the biggest stars and has access to all of the best producers yet she decided on this mid song, and wasted a Megan feature

A shame because she had many opportunities to drop a huge era. Since the GP was still into her and was anticipating her sophomore album Money, Wap, Up :emofish:

see this is why not releasing the album along with Up was the dumbest decision ever made in rap music, this would've been CB3 or even CB4 lead had she done that

Expected to debut in the top 50. They thought this was WAP 2.0.

oop gag me a bit. I mean I will say tho that rap in general is in a weird place rn after a decade or so of world domination so that makes it harder for Cardi. People (myself included even tho I genuinely like ha music) make jokes about Nicki but she’ll be OK because she has a huge loyal fan base. Same with the A List guys in rap like Drake, Travis Scott, etc. they have very diverse large fan bases that span age, race and gender.

some of the other acts like Cardi are gonna have to step it up. The days of a song shooting to number one just cause it’s a rap guy or girlie is p much done at least for now. I don’t count Doja, she’s p big with the GP and still is somewhat in the pop lane.
