Yog Posted September 9, 2023 Posted September 9, 2023 These are very SOLID numbers considering it’s only three million less than her debut, definitely not an flop at the slightest.. Sophomore Slump DENIED!!
aesthetic bih Posted September 9, 2023 Posted September 9, 2023 Damn, imagine if Vampire was as big as DL or G4U, she would've done like close to 80M
LookinAssHittas Posted September 9, 2023 Posted September 9, 2023 I’m not even an Olivia fan and I haven’t listened to either of her 2 albums, but it’s actually insane how dumb some of the members on the site are. Not the gays on here trying to kii at a 60 MILLION debut? these are INCREDIBLE numbers. And let’s not take into consideration Vampire & Bad Idea Right are not even close to being as big as Drivers License & Good 4 U. Congrats to Olivia 7
PoisonedIvy Posted September 9, 2023 Posted September 9, 2023 Swifties getting blamed and called insufferable for that navykesha person who has never stepped foot in the Taylor base, this site is remedial I swear Great numbers Olivia. 2 6
taylor__fan Posted September 9, 2023 Posted September 9, 2023 Good numbers. I haven't have time time yet to listen to the full album, but I'm sure it will be great and that will give it amazing longevity like with Sour
Mystic Boy Posted September 9, 2023 Posted September 9, 2023 Some stanbase here is insufferable I don't care about this girl but you have to deeply pressed to think these are bad numbers....
JoeAg Posted September 9, 2023 Posted September 9, 2023 damn that’s amazing!!! she’s killin it, that’s a f*ckload of streams
Nashe Posted September 9, 2023 Posted September 9, 2023 only 3M less than Sour? Amazing numbers considering the singles are far off from the hype of DL and G4U . She's thriving ww arena tour next!
Alex Posted September 9, 2023 Posted September 9, 2023 underwhelming numbers considering the hype and funding that goes into her
PurrKaty Posted September 9, 2023 Posted September 9, 2023 Amazing numbers considering the singles not smashing as hard as SOUR
Maroonx Posted September 9, 2023 Posted September 9, 2023 These are incredible numbers, IDK why people are saying this is bad. Some stablished acts can't even get this after the first 2-3 weeks hahaha
Specter Posted September 9, 2023 Posted September 9, 2023 Really solid numbers for an era that feels eons smaller than her last.
Baby Judas Posted September 9, 2023 Posted September 9, 2023 Avoiding the sophomore slump by debuting with numbers close to her debut album. and this is without a huge hit doing 12M+ streams on album release day. now I hope it will have a longevity at least half of Sour’s..

I guess they have successfully established Olivia as an artist now. I think this is the biggest takeaway from the first day numbers. She is successfully becoming an albums artist, meaning that she will move units regardless of how big the singles are. The fact the album pulled 60M with only a moderate hit vs the 2.5 smashes she had prior to Sour means that her target audience is checking out the entire album not only the singles. She’s in a great position moving forward now. I would very much rather have my album move units even if I only get a hit every now and then, than have a row of smashes that don’t do anything for the parent album and the album tracks 1
Blade Runner Posted September 9, 2023 Posted September 9, 2023 Taylor Swift fans are truly building some bad karma here. Don't get too cocky. 4
Bosque Posted September 9, 2023 Posted September 9, 2023 That’s the same as Adele’s 30 so pretty great

Biggest debuts on Spotify for female albums excluding Taylor Swift: #1 Thank u, Next - 70.2M #2 SOS - 68.7M #3 Sour - 63.2M #4 30 - 60.9M #5 GUTS - 60.3M *NEW* #6 Positions - 58.7M #7 Chromatica - 48.3M #8 WWAFA,WDWG? - 47M #9 Renaissance - 43.3M #10 HTE - 37.3M - Out: Sweetener - 36M The fact that no one even passed TUN (apart from Taylor of course, she's insane) is sooo I'm shocked Chromatica has held on that long

There’s probably like 3 Swifties that trashed these numbers… pages after people had already begun blaming the Swifties. And there’s far more Swifties praising them. But whatever, it’s confirmation bias on both our parts 5

Don't get too cocky. yes, that's how life works. Olivia and Taylor will have bad karma because of the sins the gays have committed on this site. I fear for them. ot, this isn't bad at all? I know some were expecting more but tbf she didn't seem to give this era as much attention as sour so these nunbers are great. I'm not going to say it's because of pre release singles not being as big as G4u tho cause idk whose fault it would be that they didn't click as well with people other than her/her team for choosing them as singles to begin with 1 1
TheDreamer Posted September 9, 2023 Posted September 9, 2023 Truly shaping up to be her Melodrama (massive critical acclaim with subdued commercial performance compared to their humongous predecessor) And that's okay GUTS might still pull through if the GP will respond to the songs, which I hope they would because this album is an instant classic!
