Incredible numbers. Even more impressive considering she doesn't have a DL/G4U type of smash at the moment. She basically outdid SOUR.

Amazing numbers, certain fanbase proving again they hate to see other women being successful

Can we get a breakdown of how well it did in major countries? I'm interested to see if my suspicions are correct and if this is actually shaping up to be more local compared to SOUR

Fantastic numbers nonetheless though especially since this doesn't exactly have a G4U 13m+ daily sized smash :clap3: Was actually a bit concerned seeing how Swifties dropped her for the most part (as you can clearly see in this thread :rip:) but she seems to be thriving without them. Time to make AAB the next single :clap3:

i’ve always thought this era has been more local, since vampire & bir tbh. we’ll see how will her team handle next single. i also thought swifties dropping their support for her would hurt her, but she seems to be thriving.

OT: i just realized how huge are bir? streams in the US that’s why it has potential to go top 3 :deadbanana2:

Re-recording all her music has made her a huge figure in streaming era. Let's not pretend like she hasn't benefited from both eras of music consumption.

Foklore broke the streaming debut record in 2020 before the rerecordings and no non Taylor female album has managed to surpass its numbers since then

love how she was a payola'd industry plant with questionable numbers during SOUR, and now she doesn't have a viral smash on the level of dl/g4u, and charting with realistic streams that reflects her current popularity, the numbers are "bad"

Terrible :rip: Red did better with more than 30 mil stream despite re release :deadbanana2:

What do you mean “despite” re release?

the swifties here are so miserable :toofunny3: they want her to fail so bad but it's not happening

That's not bad but I guess some things you just can't copy.

Crazy how to this day Taylor is the only woman that has been able to top tun's debut

This is great.

What you are smoking.

No need to compare her to Taylor.

The girl is doing better than all her peers sophomore albums Doja, Dua, Billie. And this will have leg. Hopefully she can score a big hit with Get him back.

this is obviously a decline from SOUR considering everything but who cares? SOUR is the biggest female era of 2020s

i personally liked SOUR more, but this is also doing amazing :clap3:

now i need AAB to peak in the top10 :jonny5:

Not even folklore and midnight exist

Hm so she's seem to lost a bit of support mostly in Latam & Asia  Interesting considering SEA especially were one of her biggest markets during her debut, but understandable considering this album's sound is pretty different

Interested to see if she'll pull a HTE and manage to go #1 in countries that are notoriously hard to crack for MPGs (France Germany Italy etc). She's definitely one of the more interesting success stories from the past few years for sure.

Asia always love the ballads, and the ballads on Sour is so accessible comepare to Guts.

The heavier cursive singing also drive some listenners away.

The album is still solid and a grower, though. So hopefully it can have leg and Get him back should go mega viral

This is a good result. But you're fooling yourself if you think not increasing after a record-breaking debut era on the first day/week of your second era is a great result.

Great numbers! Only 100k less than Sour is impressive especially because she didn’t have a smash hit like g4u

Doing less than Sour is a bit disappointing ngl but it's still good numbers especially in the US.

Nah that was obviously going to happen

This is a silly argument honestly her debut was way too incredible to really match yet it was still close, even without the hype she had back then.

Guts is shaping to become her Speak Now/Happier Than Ever - a decline from their breakthrough album (Sour, Fearless, WWFAWDWG). Yet it will gain them loyal fans and scraped out success stans from their respective fandoms.

I also think that Guts, Speak Now, and Happier Than Even are better albums than their preceding albums! Olivia is on the right track :clap3:

Ouuu good for her :clap3: Definitely feels like a big debut here in America, she's all over my FYP rn

Super curious to see how much this album sticks, considering it's less accessible than Sour.

Taylor has never recorded music like 70% of what is in GUTS. At this point they occupy different lanes beyond the singer-songwriter/love and heartbreak themes.

And please don’t be an embarrassment and bring Picture to Burn as an example of Tay “rocking out” lol I’ve seen it around and it makes zero sense

This is my favorite album of 2023, and nothing else matters to me :clap3:
