tili33 Posted September 8, 2023 Posted September 8, 2023 I'm used to good ballads and pop songs from the Max Martin factory assembly lines... -making the bed, love is embarrassing, the grudge, teenage dream are the only songs I 'like'... on the first listen
enchanted0 Posted September 8, 2023 Posted September 8, 2023 uhhh I voted wrong i was meant to vote for GUTS
Tropez Posted September 8, 2023 Posted September 8, 2023 I think it's more so that you aren't the target demographic, you just aged out. You're not getting old, it's not noisy. 1
Big Bad Wolf Posted September 8, 2023 Posted September 8, 2023 We’re getting old. The music is geared towards teens. Us gays in our early to mid 20s and beyond aren’t going to resonate like that. I think Olivia is a cute pop girl but I don’t personally care or resonate with her like that because of this. It’s just not for us. 2
JoJo Posted September 8, 2023 Posted September 8, 2023 I don’t think it’s noisy, but maybe that’s because I’ve been streaming Hole’s Live Through This and Celebrity Skin nonstop for the past year. 3 1
RideOrDie Posted September 8, 2023 Posted September 8, 2023 i don't think you're the target audience 4

youreyesgocold Posted September 8, 2023 Posted September 8, 2023 It’s a bunch of sour rehashes and bad 2000s avril lavigne rejects I like a few songs but I don’t understand the acclaim 3 2
punisher Posted September 8, 2023 Posted September 8, 2023 I just don’t really thing you’re the target audience Her music is mainly targeted for teens, like every single girl my age listens to her songs. I don’t really see anyone in their 20’s really relating to songs like jealousy, jealousy and bad idea right?
SimpleKindofLife Posted September 8, 2023 Posted September 8, 2023 Some of my favorite albums are by Liz Phair, Alanis and Avril so the album is just fine to me. I like that it's not so polished sounding but yes, it can be considered pretty noisy.
ameerah Posted September 8, 2023 Posted September 8, 2023 there’s more slow songs than “noisy” ones & I don’t think it’s an age thing, maybe you’re just not into the pop-punk sound 1
drivers license Posted September 8, 2023 Posted September 8, 2023 yeah, you’re just not the target audience. but at the same time, this sound really isn’t current. songs these days are less rock and more polished.
M.R. Posted September 8, 2023 Posted September 8, 2023 (edited) Well there’s no reason to listen to her unless you are under 16. I liked a few songs from her debut but this one is too juvenile for my taste. Edited September 8, 2023 by M.R. 2 1
Revolution Posted September 8, 2023 Posted September 8, 2023 She does pop rock, which hasn't been a popular genre in years. So it is different from the music we are used to lately.

Those two Hole albums are amazing! "Violet" and "Dying" are my all time favorite songs! ----- No, I stan REAL music! Alanis Morissette, Sheryl Crow, Tori Amos, Liz Phair, Garbage, Hole, Skunk Anasie, The Cranberries, No Doubt, Michelle Branch, Avril Lavigne, P!nk, Kelly Clarkson, Vanessa Carlton, Fefe Dobson, Ashlee Simpson, Stacie Orrico, Evanescence etc. so Olivia Rodrigo (and WILLOW) are delivering QUALITY music in the modern era unlike plastic, fake phoney baloney pop radio fillers produced in Sweden 2 1
DeepEnd Posted September 8, 2023 Posted September 8, 2023 It's noisy, juvenile, cringey, and bad. 3 1
Post Malone Posted September 8, 2023 Posted September 8, 2023 I think it's actually very elegantly and gently produced and it sounds crystal clear, quite the opposite of noisy
ariesgroove Posted September 8, 2023 Posted September 8, 2023 you probably just don’t like pop punk idk
Trent W Posted September 8, 2023 Posted September 8, 2023 Imo 90% of this forum is out of Olivia’s target demographic There is nothing wrong listening to her music but you have to listen with a very open mind and not expect to connect to it
blueberries Posted September 8, 2023 Posted September 8, 2023 im 30 and i like it maybe its just not your kind of music
ScorpiosGroove Posted September 8, 2023 Posted September 8, 2023 "you’re not the target demographic" as if the rest of y’all grown ass men was 2 3
