I loved her, but you can see why people may want to evict her. It was obvious with 5 people up - that she would go. It is that serious because it's a reminder of how society hasn't progressed as much as it thinks it has. It is that serious because two people can have the same personality type but the public hands one 100k and evicts the other. If the talk about obvious racism bothers you go to another thread. This show is the most realistic social experiment on tv and every single season since the series debut has shown patterns that need to be discussed. 7 1

I wasn't educated fully on racial issues in the past and it made me wonder how many times I've not noticed in past series that the public have voted people out due to racism and how many times housemates have been treated differently for that reason. 1
May Posted November 11, 2023 Posted November 11, 2023 Im simply not watching anymore lol Trish being evicted is straight up ******* weird. the production crew needs to find a way to send her back in or accept that they’re about to lose a very large portion of their viewership 5
butterflymimi Posted November 11, 2023 Posted November 11, 2023 FUMINGGGGGGGGGG. need to go to bed bc i’m over this, will rant in the morning 5
Clandestine Posted November 11, 2023 Posted November 11, 2023 Black women have always fought an uphill battle on this show. I remember one season the first week had one black and two white women up for eviction and there wasn't really anything to base the vote off. The only memorable moment with the black girl was a conversation talking about her bisexuality and guess who got evicted to loud boos
Yawn Posted November 11, 2023 Posted November 11, 2023 Trish’s exit interview has provided me some peace. after Will and AJ had to struggle through the Chanelle interview where Chanelle seemed unable to articulate a single coherent thought so we didn’t really get any accountability from her, to then have Trish come out right after and have a fantastic interview where they talked openly and eloquently about all of the injustice Chanelle put her through, as Chanelle watched on in the crowd and couldn’t defend herself…. it was very pleasing to me. 1
butterflymimi Posted November 11, 2023 Posted November 11, 2023 yeah i think i’m not watching the rest of this series after last night sadly. i truly hope yinrun or noky wins though but trish’s eviction and why that awful demographic of people voted for her is frustrating to say the least. side note: one of my best friends from home is on production and hasn’t said much to me but did say last night in the gc that’s she has 0 more effort to put into this show and is completely over it

Im hoping for a Jordan or Olivia win! Yinrun is alot like Katherya from big brother 2008 imo.I’d like her to make top 3. Also I still see that Twitter/HM fanbases still don’t understand that the GBP views almost never aligns with them - i see people have forgotten Hallie was evicted (unfairly) a week before the Paul and Dylan result. This eviction the dynamic changed, they voted out the two leaders of he two groups, no longer buying a ‘goodies’ and ‘baddies’ dynamic presented to them
Harmonizer Posted November 11, 2023 Posted November 11, 2023 Okay, I might be the only one, but I lowkey loved Chanelle Devastated about Trish, though I am fine with a Vote to Evict if there are 2 HouseGuests up, but a Vote to Save when there is more than 2 nominees would be much better. As simple as that sounds, I know the public can't follow a vote switch up. I remember on BBUS 15 when the public voted their favorite houseguest on the block because they didn't understand the rules changed. Praying for a Noky or Yinrun win. No other results will be tolerated.

They've continuously protected Chanelle/Olivia/Jenkin/Tom by not airing some of their worst moments while making sure every time Trish slipped up even a little bit was included in the edit. I understand that this is a reality tv show and that the producers have to manipulate the footage in some ways to create a cohesive storyline, but the highlight shows were often so different from how things actually were on the stream. I seriously do not get some of the choices they've made this season. I honestly believe they didn't want her to win as they would painted with the 'woke' brush. They would rather someone less divisive win, hence the villain edit Trish received this past week. This is the same network after all who gave Matt Hancock a redemption arc and made him reach the final of I'm a Celebrity. I suspect they'll do the same with Nigel Farage. 2
fais_2311 Posted November 11, 2023 Posted November 11, 2023 I expected that to happen with votes to evict. If it’s votes to save, I know Trish will be safe. 1
The Slayer Posted November 11, 2023 Author Posted November 11, 2023 (edited) I’m going to ignore the Chanelle loving and pretend you two are on drugs Edited November 11, 2023 by The Slayer 5

I’ll stay in this thread as much as I want to, thank you very much. Yes there’s racial discrimination. Where did I deny that? But it definitely has progressed and gotten better. 10 years ago Trish wouldn’t have made it this far and survived two evictions. She only went this week because her fans had to split their votes amongst 4 others. If it was only 3 up or two up - Trish would have easily stayed. However, she did argue a lot and she did have issues with being too confrontational. Is she my favourite housemate this series? YES, of course, she was amazing but I can see why people would not like her too. Don’t think your opinion is right and tell others to leave. This is a forum for open discussion. How UN Trish of you. She’d welcome this discussion and discuss it out. You’re just as bad as the garden gang - your way or the high way. Take a miss at my comments next time instead of trying to exclude me. I love this show and I have a right to my opinion too. Bye ! 3
Angelo Posted November 11, 2023 Posted November 11, 2023 Have you guys seen Trish’s racist past tweets? Damn! I was rooting for her.

I was just gonna post about it, so disappointing. This is why we can’t have nice things, maybe it was a good thing she was evicted and didn’t win I hope she’s changed and has a good apology ready smh. Edited November 11, 2023 by CaptainMusic 1
KFC Posted November 11, 2023 Posted November 11, 2023 Omg this is a DISASTER and Racist Britain will take this as a chance to invalidate all of her experiences the last few weeks 4
CaptainMusic Posted November 11, 2023 Posted November 11, 2023 She’s locked her twitter, probably doing the clear up that she should’ve done before she went on the show. Good luck to her as people have the screenshots now. Can’t stand POCs that say racist **** about other POCs, and now the valid discussion about her experiencing microaggression will be downplayed and overshadowed. She needs to address this and quickly. 1
Funhouse Posted November 11, 2023 Posted November 11, 2023 Absolutely dreadful... I should've never gotten invested in this show again 2 1
