JustHoran Posted September 7, 2023 Posted September 7, 2023 (edited) Beyonce's new album is a flop anyway you spin it. It's just fact, I'm not even a hater. She needs to do better next album/era and give visuals and promote and make hits again. Edited September 7, 2023 by JustHoran 2 2
Taylena Posted September 7, 2023 Posted September 7, 2023 That's not a gap, that's a continental rift. 5

FolkLover1989 Posted September 7, 2023 Posted September 7, 2023 So someone who is on the Tour of the Decade and has sold less units on BB200 than many old acts
Cruel Summer Posted September 7, 2023 Posted September 7, 2023 For context, an artist has moved over 11m album units in a single year… one other time in the SoundScan era. BSB with 11.7m album sales in 1999. Singles contributed negligibly to total units for them that year. This means she already has the biggest year for any artist in the SoundScan era and has all of September, October, November, and December left to count, including 1989 TV which seems locked to add another million units in its first week alone. 9
Dreajae Posted September 7, 2023 Posted September 7, 2023 Beyonce on yet another list as she breaks records on a stadium tour after 25 years into her career. Not everyone has that. When you can only run to acts who are more U.S dominant, often reissue their work or have enough albums to collect the points, the reason why is clear. 4

byzantium Posted September 7, 2023 Posted September 7, 2023 Wow Taylor is light years ahead of everyone else despite being 17 years into her career. Queen of longevity Olivia still in the top 40 despite only having 1 album

She wouldn't be able to chart that high or sell the tickets she's sold after 25 years of relevancy. Half of the artists listed won't be in Beys position 1-5 years from now. Many of them have already started to decline.
family.guy123 Posted September 7, 2023 Posted September 7, 2023 Morgan Wallen has an average of 2.12 million per album. Anybody know the other averages?

Downplaying US dominant artists while stanning Beyoncé is a choice. 2 7

No she isn't, there are many artists who are bigger than Bey in the US: Taylor Swift, Drake, Bad Bunny, Morgan Wallen, Travis Scott, SZA, Luke Combs, Rihanna, Post Malone... Some of them like Taylor Swift and Drake already surpassed Beyonce whole career in a shorter timeframe. We will see for the others but by the end of the decade Morgan Wallen will probably have at least two albums bigger than anything Beyonce ever released even if he declines. And it's not like Beyonce didn't experience a huge decline since her 2000s peak. Edited September 7, 2023 by Axelios
UnusualBoy Posted September 7, 2023 Posted September 7, 2023 Taylor will end the year with over 15 million

Realistically her older albums should be charting due to touring the U.S. especially since the clips are constantly going viral. P!nk as well should be charting her older albums and not even the current album is charting.
Klein Posted September 7, 2023 Posted September 7, 2023 Not really surprised considering we had this posted like a month ago. Still so freaking impressive to see Taylor do those numbers though, with the movie and 1989 TV coming she could end the year near 15M units, which is nuts.
