chiliam Posted September 6, 2023 Posted September 6, 2023 Kacey getting a BB hot 100 no.1 is the wildest chart trivial in this year so far. So deserved. Thanks to this collab, i also discover this Zach Bryan guy, and it sounds like AOTY frontrunner.

He could have got the #1 over Positions too with Forever After All if he pulled as many last minute tricks like Scooter did. As a fan and someone who has been rooting for Fast Car since before it really took off, Luke’s team actually did try a couple times during key weeks yes not having a video wasn’t smart, but it was either the week of Seven or when one of those two other country songs randomly gained traction that he discounted and released a second version (someone correct me if I’m wrong) he had made an attempt a month ago and it was just the most unfortunate timing possible 1

LesFleur Posted September 9, 2023 Posted September 9, 2023 Country won Quote Bryan’s “Hey Driver,” featuring The War And Treaty, debuts at No. 14 on the Hot 100, also largely on the strength of its first-week streaming sum: 18.3 million U.S. streams, plus 1,000 downloads sold. The streaming sum also generates a No. 5 debut on the Streaming Songs chart. It concurrently debuts at No. 2 on Hot Rock & Alternative Songs and No. 5 on Hot Country Songs. https://www.billboard.com/music/chart-beat/hot-100-first-timers-sierra-ferrell-the-war-and-treaty-debut-zach-bryan-features-1235407419/

This limited him to an audio-only YT clip [FC did get credit] & "unofficial" YT lyric & performance videos [FC did NOT get credit]. After Chapman gave him her blessing he then released the live video in late July. However that clip didn't go viral til he released the live version for streaming & downloads 3 weeks later. I was shocked to see his "official" live video had been out for over 3 weeks & hadn't even reached 4 million views.
