I think releasing the Eras Tour movie trailer that JUST features cruel summer is what she is choosing to do for promo

Istg she has some sort of need to not do anything for some of her projects

Like..august would've easily been a hit if she released it as fans wanted..but nothing

 

Also, I am thinking that she may be growing tired of doing these TV eras or something? at least some stuff almost feel a bit rushed

Probably cause she just released Speak Now TV and she's about to release 1989 TV.

She said her label decided that Cruel Summer would be a single; I think she wanted to send I Can See You instead and that ****** with her plans, so she accepted it (seeing for herself that it would be a smash), but didn’t feel motivated enough to actually take time out of her schedule to push it, since it’s four years old and she’s long since moved on from that era.
