Konril Posted August 30, 2023 Posted August 30, 2023 Once I had YouTube Premium, there was no turning back for me. Had it for years now. 2
TaggedGalaxy Posted August 30, 2023 Posted August 30, 2023 I was so confused when I opened up a YouTube video and got an ad, I’ve had ad block installed for years and come to find out they found a way around blockers. I found a solution on Reddit and it seems to be working for now
Gorjesspazze9 Posted August 30, 2023 Posted August 30, 2023 It’s been getting more obnoxious since 2019. What’s even worse it’s that it feels like every ad chooses the most annoying music or actors screaming don’t even get me started on the car insurance ads.
Novacaine Posted August 30, 2023 Posted August 30, 2023 Super annoying. But I’m not paying for YouTube.
nostalgic Posted August 30, 2023 Posted August 30, 2023 Brave Browser or Kiwi Browser + ublock origin. I'm not sure there's an adblocker that will block ads directly in the app, but there's many YT clients out there that have built-in adblockers. 1

dumbsparce Posted August 30, 2023 Posted August 30, 2023 It's all a ploy to make us buy the premium version. Welcome to capitalism

Apolonio ₃₄ Posted August 30, 2023 Posted August 30, 2023 I can’t stand it. There’s an ad every ******* video. I miss the early days of YT. 1
GentleDance Posted August 30, 2023 Posted August 30, 2023 YT Revanced for android or an adblocking DNS, uBlock Origin for PC

Most of my viewing is via YouTube, not Netflix/etc. so I'm happy to pay to remove ads.

pxxxtrick Posted August 30, 2023 Posted August 30, 2023 I was just thinking that the amount of ads is getting more and more ridiculous.
ninasayers Posted August 30, 2023 Posted August 30, 2023 3 hours ago, Smarticle said: like 2 ads before the video and an ad after the video ends so shameless of them to do that for youtube mobile You only get that amount? Maybe it's because I usually watch videos that are over 20 minutes, but when I'm on mobile they sprinkle around 3 to 4 ads throughout the videos on average. 1
Bubble Tea Posted August 30, 2023 Posted August 30, 2023 It's expensive but I pay for premium. I just COULDN'T with the ads anymore
TaylorFantasy Posted August 30, 2023 Posted August 30, 2023 This is why that **** is dying lmfao. I used to watch videos on it regularly now it's just sitting there in my phone.

chiliam Posted August 30, 2023 Posted August 30, 2023 (edited) ads are annoying but you really should understand, content is not free, nothing is free. They needs to make some types of money to pay content creator so they can create more content for us to enjoy. So stop being cheap and just subcribe youtube premium (im currently use it for free cause a good friend share for me though) If you broke then just tolerate those ads and stop complaining and expect everything should be free for you, no. poki Posted August 30, 2023 Posted August 30, 2023 Honestly for me Youtube Premium is fantastic because I watch Twitch replays + I listen to video game music that isn't on Spotify + all sorts of fan mash ups of various tracks + unreleased music that surfaced on the web So if you are interested in any of these, Youtube Premium is worth.

popmusicisdead Posted August 30, 2023 Posted August 30, 2023 honestly i gave in and bought premium. it's only like $3 in my country and i watch so much YouTube that it just made sense. i love longform video essays and i like falling asleep listening to them. my phone would explode if the screen was left open all night
