because it was useless, taylor set a new standard with re-releases and none of these quick cash grabs make noise when they offer nothing new to the fans or the GP. was it hard for her to use a decent cover art and release some unreleased tracks? so the charts responded appropriately

the only new thing was the live tracks so this isn't shocking. the whole release of the 10th anniversary edition wasn't very well done. there's so much more that could've been done, but this has never been one of her more popular / acclaimed albums anyway. the album cover also didn't help with how blurry it was, and how hard some of the text is to read

Have people been saying that? I thought the criticism was that certain Taylor fans acting shocked over every new Spotify update was silly and didn't justify spamming 5 million threads (such now why its own chart thread exists) because Taylor's situation is so unique and she's essentially forced a paradigm with her fans that streaming her versions isn't just being a fan but supporting her as a woman to reclaim her art and soul and spirit from tyrannical businessmen who stole them?

 

Why would fans rush to stream a cute live EP for a anniversary in the same way fans stream albums out of a parasocial framework with the artist?

no one expected it to chart and it's her least successful album ever. she did it as a gift for hardcore fans with little to no promo.... nothing to drag
