Miley’s sales are really impressive. The Dead Petz —> Younger Now —> hiatus travesty really jaded stans into thinking her career was mid but the stats show otherwise

The first soundtrack was the 4th best selling of the year, the second soundtrack was the 16th and 11th best selling of its first two respective years and the third soundtrack was the 5th best selling of the year. This was the late 00s, not the early 00s so it's not like even the best selling albums of the year were still scanning 5+ million copies. The fourth soundtrack did mid and the fifth one bombed but even random remix, live and karaoke albums were selling a few hundred thousand copies off of the name alone.

4x Platinum is great for a 2007 album (and most of them were pure sales)

She's the one that gave life to the character, sang all those songs and even toured with that material. It's clearly a part of her musical career, even if those soundtracks aren't studio albums.

 

That's usually the standard for soundtracks with a lead artist though. I mean, Billboard, and most people, considers 'The Bodyguard Soundtrack' to be a part of Whitney Houston's discography.

Of course she should be but I thought Billboard or RIAA dumb rules would make it seems that "Hannah Montana" is a separate act or something , so great that's is credited to Miley.

Miley has been the only Disney act from her gen to pull great album sales. Selena have had more consistency but other than that, Miley has the album sales and the biggest peaks.

To be honest I expected more for Selena because she continuously gets hits. But yeah she's a singles artist and nothing wrong with that, I wish my faves could release hits after hits.

 

Miley stomping though  Imagine if she got so much support during Plastic Hearts and She is Coming (and the droplets) eras too. Justice for Slide Away and Mother's Daughter! I don't care about Dead Petz and Younger Now because they are duds in her discography in my opinion
