Catfishing scams were understandable in the mid to early 2000s when online interactions an tech weren’t as ubiquitous as they are now. If you’re still getting scammed in 2023, you’re just foolish

These scams are still much more common and successful than you'd think no matter how absurd they sound, especially the ones targeting old people

Sadly there are really people this vulnerable, you wouldn’t believe it but a lot of people dream daily about having another life and will go to great lengths to believe anyone that tells them they can do that for them

it’s true . in the U.K. whenever a crime happens on a TV soap the police receive an influx of phone calls reporting the fictional crime on TV some people literally have nothing in their brain that poses rational thinking
