It’s just so stupid how they kept saying she will be a global superstar blah blah. They set her up from the beginning with that unlikely BS. 2

Just seems like it would do better in the US to me but I know LM wasn’t huge. It sounds like a World Cup song she deserves a hit 1
tbhmatt Posted September 11, 2023 Posted September 11, 2023 The streaming numbers are a lot lower than Don’t Say Love, however the rate of decline is smaller and the song is showing slightly more signs of life as it’s still (slowly) climbing & starting to chart in other territories. As with Don’t Say Love, this isn’t making any noise at all on Spotify. I think the song will hold up slightly better on streaming in the long run, for me it has much more replay value. That pre chorus is so addictive.

I guess Don’t Say Love very heavily benefited from curiosity streams, sadly it wasn’t good enough to capture the public’s attention and I think it’s sadly derailed a lot of momentum. A lot of people who checked in to Don’t Say Love out of curiosity and didn’t like it have probably decided to write off Leigh-Anne and haven’t bothered to check out My Love. Or they just simply aren’t even aware she’s released. She’s not the most visible artist at the moment, she’s relying heavily on social media but she has such a tiny outreach.. less than 100k YT subscribers and less than 80k Twitter followers.

fountain Posted September 11, 2023 Posted September 11, 2023 I love this, much more interesting than Don’t Say Love !
tbhmatt Posted September 11, 2023 Posted September 11, 2023 Up to #76 on Amazon Music, should hopefully crack the Top 50 tomorrow We just need Spotify to come back onboard with this and then it’ll stand a fighting chance of sticking around in the Top 40
the greatest Posted September 12, 2023 Posted September 12, 2023 I don’t get why they haven’t filmed any virtual performances for her YouTube or VEVODSCR. She needs more visibility outside of these radio interviews.
Power love Posted September 12, 2023 Posted September 12, 2023 I can’t believe we haven’t gotten one performance

DemnisBreezy Posted September 12, 2023 Posted September 12, 2023 We need Amazon payola so that every Alexa ind UK plays My Love at least once a day

The Slayer Posted September 12, 2023 Posted September 12, 2023 How has she not been on This Morning, The One Show etc...

However, a lot of her promo seems weeks away (like Live Lounge), so maybe the strategy has switched to slow and steady. Gonna sound like a broken record, but the fact they wasted the curiosity buzz on DSL over this is insane to me.
