I hope it doesn't fall too much over the week. I feel like if there wasn't any CDs this would have been in real trouble. This wouldn’t even crack the Top 40 without the CDs, and even now it’s still not necessarily guaranteed ddd

Fingers crossed! I'm sure in the future she'll jump on collabs with UK artists and DJs and manage to chart.
WERKER Posted September 10, 2023 Posted September 10, 2023 I did think the first look would be higher than 12 with the CDs as DSL was 4, however all we can hope is that her team realise from these two singles that she is not visible enough, she needs to get out there and work to sell herself as a soloist and in the future she can hope for hits. I just wonder if she'd be willing to support on tours as a support act to build her audience. 1
Nashe Posted September 10, 2023 Posted September 10, 2023 They really went all in with the music video, it's insane! Hope it takes off 2

If I was her, before doing that - I'd wait out to see how the other two girls do and if they don't do good either, there's always Little Mix arenas to go back to lol
WERKER Posted September 10, 2023 Posted September 10, 2023 Just now, Nashe said: If I was her, before doing that - I'd wait out to see how the other two girls do and if they don't do good either, there's always Little Mix arenas to go back to lol I agree and that's why I think she'll be reluctant to do that.. But authentically as an artist the only way to build her audience outside of LM would be to tour separately. I'd want nothing more than 3 solo era's and then regroup as LM3 but I can feel the fire in Leigh (not so much Pez or Jade yet) and sure she'll want to see what she's capable of solo before regrouping.
BryceG Posted September 10, 2023 Posted September 10, 2023 I realise I like the song because it sounds like a Celine Dion album track from the early 00s crossed with Michelle Williams.
shark_heather Posted September 10, 2023 Posted September 10, 2023 On other bad news , on Capital's bigtop40 it didn't even enter top10 I really cant believe this isn't taking off , its such a banger
tbhmatt Posted September 10, 2023 Posted September 10, 2023 I honestly think we all need to let go of the idea of her reaching commercial success, tbh. We all want it for her, but we knew this would be an uphill battle (for all members). I also think her label have set her up slightly with such high expectations. Priority should continue to be releasing music, building an audience, finding a niche to completely set her apart from Little Mix and cultivating a loyal fan base to sustain a touring career in smaller venues. My Love is a big step in that direction as it showcases so much more personality than her previous offering. Once she has established an artistic identity, she needs to hone in on it and she’ll find the right audience. 4
Revel Posted September 10, 2023 Posted September 10, 2023 Praying this becomes a slow burner type of hit. Leigh deserves it!

Had DSL been pushed properly we would be talking a different story now. It really is a shame because the song is GOOD. I’m still confident it might surprise us in the medium run.
WEEKND Posted September 10, 2023 Posted September 10, 2023 I’m sending this to everyone I know it’s such a banger and the video is flawless 1
ForgottenSoul Posted September 10, 2023 Posted September 10, 2023 This deserves to do well such a nice song and insane video.
Power love Posted September 11, 2023 Posted September 11, 2023 Why haven’t we gotten not one performance? YouTube performance? What is her team thinking this will smash on its own? 1
shark_heather Posted September 11, 2023 Posted September 11, 2023 Apple Music: #62 United Kingdom #72 Ireland #77 Malta Shazam: #102 United Kingdom Rising very slowly...
tbhmatt Posted September 11, 2023 Posted September 11, 2023 (edited) Oh this is a good sign, I don’t think Don’t Say Love even charted on Amazon? It’s also the #2 trending song on Amazon Music too Edited September 11, 2023 by tbhmatt
SinnerCity Posted September 11, 2023 Posted September 11, 2023 I think My Love will surprise us in the best way possible. They invested so much in the video and I just cannot fathom Leigh not wanting to promote it because she feels very proud of the song and rightfully so! The song needs exposure, and right now in the UK, the best way to do it is to perform it live. She needs to be everywhere, from Graham to Jonathan Rose and if she wants to score a BRIT nomination, the campaign needs to start now! Radio interviews are cute but unless the song is on heavy rotation I don't see it happening for her. My Love has everything a hit single needs but it's really up to her and her team to take advantage of that because the hype is dying down quickly and I'm not so sure people will still check for her new music by single No.3
#Beautiful Posted September 11, 2023 Posted September 11, 2023 such a great song i cant wait to hear the full album

tbhmatt Posted September 11, 2023 Posted September 11, 2023 Up to #108 on Amazon Music and #60 on Apple Music; very encouraging signs of life compared to Don’t Say Love
WERKER Posted September 11, 2023 Posted September 11, 2023 Don’t expect too much guys, it’s nice to see excitement but don’t be surprised with another one week in the top 40. What’s important is that Leigh’s team figure out what their expectations are and how they can support her in the long run.
#Beautiful Posted September 11, 2023 Posted September 11, 2023 2 hours ago, Nashe said: that's if she gets to release one if all 3 singles underperform/flop... tbh from the outside looking in it looks like she signed a deal that was self aware from the very beginning that she wouldn't be able to reach the highest highs commercially harsh as it might sound, the fact that a 2nd single came out is also a good sign!
tbhmatt Posted September 11, 2023 Posted September 11, 2023 I know Deezer is a complete flop and nobody outside of France uses it but if anyone cares this is #54 in Jamaica on their Deezer charts 1
