There's like 100+ big right-wing Youtubers and basically all of them have done multiple videos on the song. Twitter, 4chan, Facebook as well. They also use Telegram, Rumble, Bitchute and other sites a lot as well which is how things get passed around so fast. Like it's Joe Rogan, Jordan Peterson, Ben Shapiro, etc, who have tons of followers and they're all praising the song. The artist themselves don't really need to have many followers. aren't these people rich men?

But they're not considered to be part of the elite because they basically go against everything they stand for. Big corporations, NGOs, think tanks, media companies, celebrities, hollywood movies, etc, usually champion diversity, equity, environmental causes, gay rights, trans rights, etc. Like Trump is well known to be phenomenally rich, but as he opposes immigration, feminism, etc, he's not considered to be part of the elite, he doesn't get his way in pretty much anything. The right is anti-elite really, not anti-rich.

Those charts I kept seeing were not confirmed legit. The gains on streaming today slowed down significantly, so I’m sure sales have peaked
truthteller Posted August 16, 2023 Posted August 16, 2023 (edited) not this makes me miss the old days where the charts were just being spammed by BoTS and stans-driven sales instead of neonazis Edited August 16, 2023 by truthteller 2 1
sxhunluv Posted August 16, 2023 Posted August 16, 2023 I need to find new acquaintances because everyone I know is talking about this song irl. The fox news crowd loves this song.
Planet Mars Posted August 16, 2023 Posted August 16, 2023 Is this song even racist? Like what is it even about? I'm not listening to a man who looks like Duck Dunasty

Ugh I didn't realize the right wing could mobilize social media. Literally thought half of them don't use it. Not them being as tech savvy as the BTS fandom and getting songs to #1
drivers license Posted August 16, 2023 Posted August 16, 2023 atrlers already success stanning like clockwork
Taylor fanboy Posted August 16, 2023 Posted August 16, 2023 I think the Swifties calling out these songs as competition for Cruel Summer is helping these songs get more attention.
Miles. Posted August 16, 2023 Posted August 16, 2023 What the **** is this...? Why are so many random racist country songs going #1 this year? Someone DO something 1
Bosque Posted August 16, 2023 Posted August 16, 2023 Maybe this sounds like a conspiracy theory but honestly I think Twitter is responsible for this. It is the only major social media site that has completely changed their algorithm in recent time. It is very unrealistic that before 2022, viral MAGA songs never made any noise, and this year there are several huge spikes. I don't think Youtube, Facebook, Instagram or Tik Tok would've significantly changed their algorithms this year, so it just seems like maybe Twitter tweaked the algorithm to allow these songs to go viral more easily

Someone DO something It more accurately reflects the reality of America. It is in fact an extremely racist, ugly country, and it's long past time people stopped overlooking that fact. Just because we had one half-black president doesn't mean we've shed the burdens of our irredeemably evil history. 1 1
spree Posted August 17, 2023 Posted August 17, 2023 welcome to country fans transitioning to streaming. You asked for it cuz you hated radio. Well here you go.
Green Posted August 17, 2023 Author Posted August 17, 2023 So he will be #1 for only one week because I doubt he's selling over 150k for another week

Horizon Flame Posted August 23, 2023 Posted August 23, 2023 He made history: Oliver Anthony’s Rich Men North of Richmond, the out-of-nowhere country song that went viral earlier this month, has debuted at number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, making him the first artist to do this with no prior chart history in any form.
