Selena name rn is huge in acting, beauty, social media.. but Calm Down is a featuring, they want her name to be more huge atm in music too. They want 'Single Soon' playing.

 

The single choice it's probably hand-picked for us to remember that she makes catchy pop music (something that can be a direction of her next project) but at the same time without wasting the best songs that will be on the album.  okok now that i think about, i'm excited. 

 

 

We will see how they treat this, tbh I do not know, the hype was there doing the opposite would had been a lame movement and Spotify playlists that is what most promo has been is also based on hype and she had that

I feel like the song is mid (for Selena's standards) and that's what at the end of the day makes it work as a pre-era single. 

It's a well-written generic pop song. And as a cute little buzz single to give fans something to bop to while Calm Down declines and we wait for the album, i think it was a good decision.

I mean SG3 has been getting teased since like late spring 2021 and it's been getting teased all year and she said she was finishing it in the radio interview. it's coming very soon for sure. idk if it'll be an October/November single release, or if they'll do another droplet, or if they'll wait till Jan-March 2024. but i don't think they're gonna wait much longer than that.

good that she's #1 on a-list pop, it's about time, even my mind & me was #1 there, it's an easy spot but an important one!

but i don't get why she was the cover of spotify's today top hits but NEVER was even added on US Today's Hits on apple music  like... not even a #50 position.
