I used to root for her, I think she put some genuinely amazing pop songs in the past (the whole Revival album is extremely underrated IMO) but her output these last few years has been soooo bland.

 

This sounds like a dollar store version of something Carly would have discarded from Emotion. It is just pleasant enough for me not to turn it off if it casually comes up on the radio, and I guess it’s well-produced if we’d still be in 2014. But in 2023, this is terribly generic and it doesn’t even have her usual good ear-catching melody.

 

Plus, the beat at the beginning is basically identical to Heart to Break.
