He was loyal to Justin Bieber and also in a weird frenemyship with Charlie Puth so that makes sense.

 

I guess money talks? He did "Kill Em With Kindness", "Same Old Love", and "I Can't Get Enough".  Wasn't she also a finalist for Julia Michaels' "Issues" too?

I love the synth production and the melody is nice, but the chorus is a little bit hit and miss; too repetitive.

It's a bit bland, the mixing on her voice is weird sometimes, she sounds really flat on the last note of some words. The chorus is pretty weak. The song itself is cute but it feels more like an album filler. The video is cute and Selena looks good.

This is just a flatline. The chorus is so weak you don’t even realize it’s the chorus. I thought it was a pre-chorus since it’s placed so EARLY in the song. The song is composed at 70% of the chorus (and 3 times unchanged). Such a same, the verses are GOOD.

 

The chorus being in two parts and longer than the verses is the problem for me. They should have cut it, made the first part the pre-chorus and the second part a real chorus with a more exploding production. It just falls flat here.
