Darkgalord Posted August 13, 2023 Posted August 13, 2023 I understand this is a cultural thing, so I'm not trying to be disrespectful. It's just that eating anything that's still alive is weird imo. 1
GraceRandolph Posted August 13, 2023 Posted August 13, 2023 What’s disrespectful is eating a living being. It would never fly if we ate a cat or human alive. 10 2

Vixen Eyes Posted August 13, 2023 Posted August 13, 2023 as a vegetarian, i feel uncomfortable with someone being served a living fish thats like if someone ordered a hamburger and the chef handed the reins of the cow to the customer 1

Bubble Tea Posted August 13, 2023 Posted August 13, 2023 Y'all burn the world, drive, eradicate species, purchase cheap slave labour goods and support puppy mills - and you're getting upset over a fish? 2 4

Alldeezy Posted August 13, 2023 Posted August 13, 2023 Why did I read the title as fish bites on man's d Okay that's enough internet for me today
Junipero Posted August 13, 2023 Posted August 13, 2023 (edited) There was also a video with a moving frog where people just ate the frog. I saw this video maybe 8 years ago, apparently the fish is dead, it is just that salt or sodium will make the muscles moves because it was freshly dead. Edited August 13, 2023 by Junipero
Taylucifer Posted August 13, 2023 Posted August 13, 2023 isn’t this Ikizukuri? they keep the fish alive as much as possible while they cut up its body to be served. most of the japanese have stopped doing it because it’s barbaric.
Cain Posted August 13, 2023 Posted August 13, 2023 Erm I’m a meateater myself and I just want to say if you eat meat you’re not any better The meat we eat gets mostly tortured while it’s still alive, we just don’t want to see any of that and prefer our meat to be unrecognizable when it arrives on our plate to be able to do so. So this man eating a fish that’s still alive doesn’t make him morally inferior in any way
