I grew up not doing it then lived with someone who did it and now I do put it in the fridge.

I’m a server and we don’t refrigerate ours at all :deadbanana: American food products have so many stabilizers and preservatives, it’s quite gross to think about.

I hate ketchup so I don't put in my fridge. I would refrigerate it if I liked it, though.

 

Restaurants go through condiments much quicker than the average household. If y'all don't douse everything you eat in ketchup you probably should keep yours in the fridge, lol. I keep my chili oil and hot sauce in the fridge (per instructions on their packages).

Now when I think about it I don’t ever recall putting ketchup in the fridge when I worked at a restaurant either :deadbanana2:

it has a lot of sugar you can't taste it because it balances out the acidity

no but i do with hot sauces because they get mold much faster
