No unsigned artist in a niche genre is selling 230k pure sales in 2023. Why hasn't Billboard investigated this yet?? If you check out its youtube comment section, people really consider it as "Working Class' Revolution song". It's insane. These are legit sales, I fear.

THAT'S the problem right there. right!? weren't there talks about Apple wanting to terminate itunes lol? I HIGHLY doubt they'll go through with it now that they see the sales Little Magas can give them on occasion. 31 minutes ago, Green said: Yes. Fast Car peaked, so it will be Taylor vs. a new release (if there's any). I don't think Rich Men will be #1 for a second week. I feel like the success might bleed into a the next tracking week too for some reason. It's only rising on streaming and he is still #1 on itunes (though we dont know how much he is still selling at this point). If he can even do 100k second week then we'd be screwed I'd imagine and I think there is a possibility of him doing it since discussion around the song has only now began to blow up on social media so all the little magas will prob support starting now too. Jason Aldeans song was a blip but I think this one might have a little more legs.
305 Posted August 15, 2023 Posted August 15, 2023 well it's (l)over but I think we will get the #1 next week, that song will not stay on top

hausofdave Posted August 15, 2023 Posted August 15, 2023 400+ points the fact it was not even close at all 1

Whether it's a calculated industry push, sketchy social media algorithms (hello Elon), or chart manipulations... something is off 1 1

I’m so sick of these redneck losers taking over the damn chart.

Olivia was already signed, known as a Disney girl and had the Joshua Basset drama behind. Meanwhile for this Oliver he just released this song and smashed out of nowhere as an unknown artist, if you search his wiki page it's about to get deleted

This man was selling wholesale machine parts outside of a Richmond exurb just like 2 months ago before someone approaching HIM to record the song and post it to social media.

fridayteenage Posted August 15, 2023 Posted August 15, 2023 I dont remember HER TEAM doing a lot late in previous singles runs

gagacasanova Posted August 15, 2023 Posted August 15, 2023 Where in the literal **** did this guy come from 1 1
shelven Posted August 15, 2023 Posted August 15, 2023 There was definitely a coordinated push by rightwing social media influencers at the beginning of the week, but the sales themselves are almost certainly real. I said this back when people were in disbelief about Jason’s sales, but some of you really underestimate just how many people’s entire worldview and existence revolves around “owning the libs.” These people will vote for politicians that very clearly, consistently and unapologetically support policies that actively screw them over, purely because they know those politicians make the “liberal elites” mad. They’ll donate thousands of dollars to one of the most obvious con men in American history whose campaign slogan might as well be “your money funds my legal fees because I’m bankrupt so can’t pay them myself”, all because that man is “the Demtards’ worst nightmare.” Is it really that hard to believe they’re willing to spend $1.29 to feel high and mighty about how their fellow QAnoner is outcharting the “woke Hollywood elites” in the music industry? 13
