Wait a second… each merch drop ends at a later time. The last one ended at 2 pm EST. This one at 3….  Each merch drop has had a darker sky. What happens once it gets dark :eli:

The darker sky because shes gonna announce Rep (TV) next month at the last tour date in Brazil (November 26th)
Since rep has a dark/night time vibe its kinda fitting tbh
:ryan3:

Album schedule:
Rep (TV) - Feb 16th
Mixtape (TV) - June 7th
TS 11 (orange as the album color) - September 27th

I finally read through the entire article. We love to see her impact in the industry being recognized.

I'd also add that one aspect for which her impact can be felt is the way teen songwriters are treated now. When she started, the critics were really quick to dismiss the songwriting of a teenage girl and reduce it to something inconsequential. But in the end, she helped critics realize that a teenage girl can also craft excellent albums. And it's very clear with the way critics have been very welcoming to artists like Billie or Olivia, and giving them their props for their work without it being tainted by a "young girl problems" mentality.

Then, there's also the gigantic impact that 1989 had in the movement of poptimism obviously, but I feel like at least that one point is recognized by most people.

Wasn't she at 139k units yesterday? I don't think it's possible for her to cross 200k.

there is something she has to be doing with all the orange stuff but rep seems to be next? I have no idea what shes planning but November seems too close for anything, there wouldn't be pre orders or physicals (unless she got them done already) though I guess she could pull a folklore.

can you show me some examples for the orange stuff? cause i haven't paid attention to that

For some reference. these are the first and second week sales for 1989 Stolen version :p

US

week 01: 1,286,544
week 02: 401,599

UK

week 01: 90,336

In the UK she already beat the OG, and in the US it's looking like she will as well. Now I wonder how week 2 is gonna look like for TV.

Say Don’t Go will be the Cruel Summer/Getaway Car/All Too Well of this album. It’s just so infectious, catchy and well-written. That chorus just grabs you.

Why'd you have to lead me on?
Why'd you have to twist the knife?
Walk away and leave me bleeding, bleeding
Why'd you whisper in the dark
Just to leave me in the night?
Now your silence has me screaming, screaming
Say, "Don't go"
I would stay forever if you say, "Don't go"

Especially that last line of the chorus, what a great lyric.

Outselling a re-recording from 10 years ago in the first week is crazy :dies:

Not the US? I’m from the UK and I’m shocked she’s doing so well. She’s by no means ever been a flop here but I’ve never seen her do as well as this.
