Because she's a Republican, straight up. What now though? Her gay fans won't stop supporting her, and should they even? Just because she's a Republican, doesn't inherently make her a bad person.

But aren't a lot of wealthy people Republicans because that party is on their side financially? Also, Katy campaigned very hard for Hillary in 2016.
