LustSpell Posted August 2, 2023 Posted August 2, 2023 Tbh it really feels like that Andrew Tate / Adin Ross / Jake Paul crowd is really impacting things 1
JustHoran Posted August 2, 2023 Posted August 2, 2023 The amount of Tiktok guys who stan Andrew Tate has BEEN concerning to me
BOOMBAYAH Posted August 2, 2023 Posted August 2, 2023 In general, I believe gendered socialization influences how girls tend to adopt more liberal traits, such as being kind, caretakers, and peacemakers, while boys often lean towards conservative traits, like being perceived as strong, suppressing emotions, and being skilled in fighting. This can explain why girls often become the primary friends of gay boys during school years, with few straight boys in the mix. Over time, these distinctions usually blur as boys learn they can't solve everything through fighting, and girls discover their voices, especially with the impact of social media. But with this rise of social, the hyper-conservative traits taught to boys that they usually grow out of are being amplified by figures like Andrew Tate, Red-Pill, and the Manosphere through their content. It’s sad. 14
AintNoOtherMe Posted August 2, 2023 Posted August 2, 2023 Girls are more prone to influence and peer pressure 3
Armani? Posted August 2, 2023 Posted August 2, 2023 Young Men still vote majority Democrat so this is more about the underlying label of liberal being associated as "non masculine"
Robert Posted August 2, 2023 Posted August 2, 2023 The far right are trying very hard to radicalise young men, just look at Andrew Tate and Elon Musk. 1
Sugden Posted August 2, 2023 Posted August 2, 2023 i mean is this realy shocking men and teen men expecially love to be edge lords
Cain Posted August 2, 2023 Posted August 2, 2023 The more marginalized group wanting a political party that betters their rights while the privileged group wants a political party that wants to keep the status quo intact? Shocking 4
Raptus Posted August 2, 2023 Posted August 2, 2023 (edited) Remember when they were killing infant girls in China in the 80s/90s? Maybe we should switch it to western boys, for the better future Edited August 2, 2023 by Raptus 1 11
Price of Fame Posted August 2, 2023 Posted August 2, 2023 it's not like liberals make any effort to appeal to young men

tshwark Posted August 2, 2023 Posted August 2, 2023 And with the portraying of men in the Barbie movie the data is to be expected. 6
imabadkid Posted August 2, 2023 Posted August 2, 2023 not surprising. it's part of the right-wing grievance machine. TBH as women continue to advance, make money, become educated, etc. more men will go over to the right side. 1
Beyonnaise Posted August 2, 2023 Posted August 2, 2023 I think the answer is probably more aspirational, positive influencers who are masc bodybuilder types but not toxic. It's not like these boys are so profoundly moved by the intellectual rigor of Tate. They just see that he's rich and muscular, and then take his word as gospel.
Happylittlepunk Posted August 2, 2023 Posted August 2, 2023 Men in general tend to be more conservative it’s natural thing. however if we talking politically it’s not like liberals have made an effort to be make things more easier or accepting of men. Especially in a world were a lot issues for young men are not being taking seriously. We’re are the liberal voices at trying to help young guys? Andre Tate and other right wing conservatives are getting attention cause they are the ones talking about it. But I don’t think seriously you guys are ready talk about it. 1

Digitalism Posted August 2, 2023 Posted August 2, 2023 I find it funny that you think people like Andrew Tate are the reason this is happening. Men have always been horrible (it's the reason Andrew, Jake Paul, etc which are from an older generation exist) they were just afraid to talk about it in public now it's cool to show it.
Sylpher Posted August 2, 2023 Posted August 2, 2023 Not surprised. The Left is openly anti-male at this point. 2 3

Dessy Posted August 2, 2023 Posted August 2, 2023 Honestly I find the fact that ~65% didn't answer from the two options more interesting. This poll say something but not the whole story
