Gladiator Posted July 31, 2023 Posted July 31, 2023 (edited) There's 0 reason for anyone to use Threads, other than to grandstand against Twitter. Edited July 31, 2023 by Gladiator 2
Gorjesspazze9 Posted July 31, 2023 Posted July 31, 2023 It sounds like such a fad literally dead after a week, gotta be embarrassing.
iknowplaces Posted July 31, 2023 Posted July 31, 2023 52 minutes ago, Windy Day said: deserved. i dont understand why it takes so long to update with basic features while twitter had the time to completely rebrand and launches new features every two weeks since threads launched If you were a software developer, you would understand. Threads is a whole new app that was built from scratch, totally rushed by Mark when he saw the Twitter mess. X "rebrand" was mere logo changing and minor feature add. Not comparable. 2
commander Posted July 31, 2023 Posted July 31, 2023 The font alone is ugly af. It never had a chance tbh.

Miss Show Business Posted July 31, 2023 Posted July 31, 2023 They just need to add more features and people will use it. I hate that there's no trending topics section so you're stuck with whatever timeline you have.
Orsay Posted July 31, 2023 Posted July 31, 2023 (edited) Of course it is. It was so embarrassing watching everyone think Mark “owned” Elon or whatever after its initial success. Imagine siding with either of these freaks Edited July 31, 2023 by Orsay
blackoutbritney Posted July 31, 2023 Posted July 31, 2023 They need to make it explicit like Twitter or else there’s no point. We don’t need an Instagram without photos, so dumb
More Than A Melody Posted July 31, 2023 Posted July 31, 2023 1 hour ago, Windy Day said: twitter had the time to completely rebrand Girl, define competently. You literally called it "twitter" OT: I made one to see how it bad and left immediately so I'm not surprised. That said, twitter is hell
Somnambulist Posted July 31, 2023 Posted July 31, 2023 This thread is depressing as someone who has worked on UI’s and social media platforms. Musk overworking X employees because they’re here on visas and literally have no choice but to work or get deported/fired to launch buggy features and an entire rebrand (that was embarrassingly rolled out) is apparently the standard ATRL is expecting. Threads lacks some things sure- and I’m sure they’re working on them, but this thread is so messy. 1
ddddynamite Posted July 31, 2023 Posted July 31, 2023 (edited) I'm surprised it still have more than 10%. Not bad And they still have Instagram. They could easily link both platforms and shows Threads posts on Instagram in the future. It's their SPIRIT era not a main gig Edited July 31, 2023 by ddddynamite
GeminiCat Posted July 31, 2023 Posted July 31, 2023 Zuck got too eager to launch while everyone was dragging Elon/Twitter but the app isn't close to ready for primetime yet. No trending tab, no search bar, same shitty IG algorithm...there's nothing to explore or any way to actually connect, you're basically just confined to a timeline of corporate posts...which can work for a picture/video based app but boring as hell for a text based one. Threads is basically just a hybrid of IG and Twitter but without ANY of the cool features and functionality of either that made them great.
Onyxmage Posted July 31, 2023 Posted July 31, 2023 Well I deleted X from my iphone because it literally clashes with all my apps and looks disgusting. I guess im done with twitter.
CBC Posted July 31, 2023 Posted July 31, 2023 really good start but they didn't give us the basic features fast enough. to add salt to the injury they locked several regions out after launch (you could use it anywhere after downloading it from a country that had the app)
Blue Monday Posted July 31, 2023 Posted July 31, 2023 (edited) It had a lot of promise but ultimately was front loaded. I didn't think the algorithm was going to bother me so much but when I literally was only seeing maybe one of the 100+ people I followed in my feed I started to get frustrated; like at that point what's the point of even following anyone? Mania Posted July 31, 2023 Posted July 31, 2023 Random people you don’t care about posting the most corniest “motivational quotes” to having to wait till the next update to see your followed timeline” I’m not surprised people dropped it quickly.
MonsterJohn Posted July 31, 2023 Posted July 31, 2023 zuckerberg can't launch a new product successfully in decades, not surprised
SwiftLover Posted July 31, 2023 Posted July 31, 2023 Marketed to: Gen Z/ Millennials Content: Boomer humor Flop? : absolutely
Luckitty Posted August 1, 2023 Posted August 1, 2023 it's so bad.. i used it for like 20 minutes when it came out and never used it since 90% of the posts are giving 2013 twitter & instagram memes, i don't wanna see that ****
